I hope he’s ok. It looked like he was hurt this week. I hope he can play vs the Saints.

Jonathan Stewart said on his podcast this week that things are different for division game week in terms of rest for key players.

Hopefully that is the major factor.

Trying to figure out his value this offseason is going to be tough for us or any other team. His agent knows RBs in their late 20s are in low demand due to eventual fall off in production and injury risks so he’s going to get every dollar he can for his client.

I'm on board with a 3 year deal

I don’t know how he could hold up at this level of use for three years.
And I am not counting on Brooks but Rico is what they thought they were getting in Brooks.

If somehow Brooks comes back right we have a good problem.

Well somebody's gonna pay him.  It's a fair concern that he won't hold up even until he's 30, as he's 27 now.  But I'd be willing to take that risk.  Sign me up for 2-3 more seasons of Rico.  (Might have to eat a bad one for year 3)  Pay him like the top 10 back he's been this season and pound the rock.

I think he's got a couple years until he falls off hard like Stephen Davis and Marion Barber.

Yeah somebody will pay him. You can’t look at what he is doing and not want that foryour backfield.

God we are so dumb

I completely missed on Dowdle. My fault for assuming a move Dallas made was correct. That said, no one saw Dowdle being a top RB in the NFL with only a few starts and no one predicted Dowdle would push Hubbard to the bench by clearly outplaying him.

I only saw him play once and he kept hesitating and getting hit in the backfield.  I think the Dallas line was just ass and didn’t give him as much time as he needs to do his thing.

    • This whole thing is sooooooooo dumb, why any of this is an ongoing news story is ridiculous. There are only 2 people who should actually care about this, his wife and her husband. Affairs happen, not that I'm saying it's okay to cheat, but at worst, the only "bad thing" that could be coming around from this affair is that information was passed between them, the same type of info that any coach and journalist who are friends may share with each other to help the other out. The Patriots shouldn't care as long as it doesn't affect his focus on the team.  And those saying that he's lost the locker room and their respect over the "lying" have to be fooling themselves.  Half the players in that locker room are more than likely actively or previously have cheated on their significant other.  So it's not like they're looking at him saying, "what a liar and terrible person, I can't trust him as my coach anymore"
    • Seriously?!?! First SNF game of the year and it's two teams that didn't make the playoffs last year? I thought they always made that Week 1 SNF game a banger with two great teams from the previous season. EDIT:  Just looked, last year was Bills-Ravens, previous season was Lions-Rams, Giants-Cowboys ironically before that (but both coming off the playoffs).  From what I can tell, this will be the first time since 2020 that SNF's week 1 game isn't 2 teams from the playoffs the year before, and the Cowboys were in that one too, against the Rams who also didn't make it the year before.
