2021 was a good draft.

Well I'm not sure that I would rate it as great. Yes our 1st pick was a great pick for the team although it has not been without loss of playing time.

The 2nd pick was a complete waste.

The 3rd pick has earned a spot as a reliable backup.

The other 3rd pick, while he has worked hard to earn his place on the team, probably wouldn't find a spot on another team.

The 4th pick is the only other starter that could get another job on another team.

The rest isn't worth explaining.

Well he said good not great, I think it's okay.  Looking at our draft history it's hard to find one better in a long while

I will never get over the long snapper pick

Chiefs tagged Trey Smith.

I was here in the huddle for most of the draft- I started calling for his name in the 4th HARDCORE even with the reports. Just about every huddlers was calling for him picks after, yelling in the 6th.

Round 1, pick 8 - Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

Round 2, pick 59 (from CLE) - Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU

Round 3, pick 70 (from PHI) - Brady Christensen, OT, BYU

Round 3, pick 83rd Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame

Round 4: No. 126 (from TEN) - Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State

Round 5: No. 158 (from From NE through HOU) - Daviyon Nixon, DT, Iowa

Round 5: No. 166 (from TEN) - Keith Taylor, CB, Washington

Round 6, pick 193 - Deonte Brown, OG, Alabama

Round 6, pick 204 (from CHI) - Shi Smith, WR, South Carolina

Round 6, pick 222 - Thomas Fletcher, LS, Alabama

Round 7: No. 232 - Phil Hoskins, DT, Kentucky

Facts are if you get 2 quality starters- Horn and Hubbard.

And one top backup/STer- Tommy Tremble

*Bonus - Brady Christensen

That's a good draft.

You get four legit NFL players from any draft its a good draft. Plus those four resigned with the team making it a rare feat as well.

Sorry it does not fit the hate on fittteererererererer narrative...

That's the goal each year.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we have had better since then. Like you said, it's probably our best in the past decade if I cared to dig into it. I'm hoping that our drafting has improved but I have not seen anything to indicate that it has.

    • considering [Dave] Canales enters Year 3 working for an impulsive owner. There’s not much room to slide backwards from an 8-9 season and 13-21 overall record. It doesn’t help that his primary job has been the development of quarterback Bryce Young, and the progress there has been inconsistent. Canales was supposed to turn the former top pick into a franchise quarterback. If that doesn’t happen by next January, the Panthers could be looking for both a new coach and quarterback." —————- The format of that doesn’t display on my iPad I had to paste it as plain text to see it so I am leaving it here to refer to… I am gonna disagree with a lot of that.  First reference is Tepper. That interview posted here a few days back gave me the impression that he is really happy with his FO. And Canales. Seat isn’t even warm as of right now. IMO.  The assertion that Canales is supposed to turn Young into a franchise QB is something I have never bought. First, how could anyone look at 2023Bryce and see a can’t miss Franchise player?  He was for sure a could miss.  I am not sure it was fix Bryce or you are both gone. Maybe that will happen The longer it drags on, I think maybe the more likely a total house cleaning could be an outcome. I mean it is only year 3 of Canales coming up. But as a couple of people like to point out, he has shown other concerning flaws that might damage his stock.  As far as the hot seat, mid season with 2-3 wins I would imagine yeah it would be pretty warm. I think a small regression to say 7 or maybe even 6 wins would be tolerated but the seat is warm for 2027. Depends on the circumstances.
    • Or finish 7th and lose the first game to set up with the Pistons. One they have less playoff experience than the Knicks or Celtics and two cuz fug em that's why
    • This damn play is shown as one of the worst sports plays of the year on a Canadian sports channel on repeat. The reminder on a weekly basis keeps me from being too happy with our playoff appearance.
