i can see that.

here's a bigger one.

farve isn't going to last forever. the vikes obviously don't like who they have behind him.

at some point in the year, after our season is over and moore has done a pretty good job, vikes and panthers make a little trade sending matt moore there and he gets reunited with his old buddy rhys lloyd. we get a draft pick of some kind. 3rd or 4th rounder or something.

Maybe I'm a newb, but why would you resign someone just to trade him (unless you were guaranteed a great deal)? He only has one year left on his contract.

It will be

1.5 Moore

1.75 Clausen

3 Edwards

:)

Moore has no contract beyond this season.

Not happening during the season. Besides, the trade deadline is after week 6.

Yeah, I said the same thing after last week. I would love for us to work AE in throughout games.... and not in a gimmicky 'wildcat,' hand-off/read option... Let him actually run plays and pass it, make the defenses respect his ability to pass and we could cause even more problems for defenses.

I'm really hesitant to let Pike go to the PS b/c of his mobility and he's accurate, but as I said in the other thread, he floats the ball way too much. Hopefully, he'll make it to the PS. Cantwell... For all of the arm he's got, he doesn't do a lot with it and he's a liability if he's pressured, he can't move.

didnt see AE do much as a qb tonite but what he did looked serviceable- I didnt see any of the other 3 qbs do much in the preseason either. Im fine with Moore, Clausen and AE as 1,2,3

I dont think

AE has to be a gimmick player - work him into special situations against vulnerable defenses and I see him as a genuine part of an offensive strategy

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
