Depth Chart Update

Humble Pie

Recommended Posts

Looks like even though (almost) everyone thought he was on the bubble, DJ seems to have snagged the #2 spot for now, followed by Lafell, Edwards, Gettis and Martin. (So, out of all you predictors, who nailed it?!)

With 6 receivers it's safe to say we aren't bringing anyone else in.

I thought we might keep a little more depth at CB (Gamble, Marshall, Captain, and McClain), but with the safety backups we look decent.

DE depth looks to be nasty. Might I say best in the league? (...maybe I'm biased)

Can't wait to get our first W next weekend...

lol how can Lafell let you down he hasn't even played a real game yet. jarrett s obviously the joke here living below expectations. Clearly this year is make or break for him even though most feel he is a bust already. He is young and immature.

DJ is still a mystery to me..they will say he's starting..but then you'll see another reciever in his spot for most of the game..he's a head scratcher that guy.

oh and goodson is ahead of sutton on the depth chart too..kickoff return must of really impressed the team.

Goodson should be ahead of Sutton...he is a much more dynamic RB.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
