I am afraid of Jalon Walker, to be honest. Love the kid, the player--but not a refined ILB and not a refined edge.  He is only a stud if used correctly, and that skillset may not be as effective in the NFL unless he is an elite athlete.  I just see up screwing him/it up.

Well, with so many questions about Walker, Stewart, Williams, Tet, etc., you're not excited about the thought of a TE at eight? I ain't afraid of Tyler Warren, and I believe he's one of the better prospects of this draft in regards to the least amount of question marks. It would seem like more people would be---at the very least---good with Warren.

I am warming to the idea for the reasons you give--he is a "sure thing" compared to those you name--you can use him all over--like a WR if needed--he is a dawg and baller.  And there is no real top drawer edge rusher there at 8--a hybrid and 2 underperformer/high risk players

can still never get embed to work but ouch.  Not watching film and not liking to watch football definitely doesn't sound like someone Dan would draft.

I d take him off my board after watching this---he does not have the humility and work ethic--he will get embarrassed as a pro.

Why are some of y'all discounting the part where he said he doesn't like watching it by himself because he watches it with coaches and the receiver group? The fact is is that since that video, he's been as productive as ever. His stats are more indicative than a 2023 vid regarding his efficacy as a pro receiver.

He's a WR, not a QB. Honestly it's not a huge deal.

Listen to Cam talking about HOFer #4 all-time sack leader Julius Peppers

QB is different. You HAVE to be an absolute film junkie at QB. If you're the QB of the defense with the speaker in your helmet communicating the calls and getting everyone set you have to be a film junkie. But a WR? You have to be able to recognize coverages and know what you're supposed to do on option routes. That's pretty much it. You don't have to live in the film room. Very few WRs are living in the film room. That's just the reality.

How dumb does someone have to be to have to live in the film room to be able to properly run an option route? Let's be real here. LOL

General work ethic and love of the game, and also I wouldn't care about watching my own tape, I would be grinding tape of the defense I'm up against.  Learn tendencies etc

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
