We beat maybe the worst team in the league!

Moore gave them 7 on the pathetic INT. He's better than that, I don't know wtf he was thinking when he threw it right into that D lineman's gut. Who was the intended receiver, or was he trying to ground it outside the pocket? I couldn't tell from the replay.

I think he was trying to throw it to Stewart, but I'm not sure.

Everybody needs to remember that old coaches saying...look at the film, not the record. San Fan has plenty of talent and there is a very fine line between the best team and the worst team in the NFL. Usually it comes down to turnover ratio no matter who you play, so the Panthers actually beat the odds today. There is no reason whatsoever not to be happy about this win.

monstercat... san fran with an injured starting quarterback.

they also committed a TON of mistakes.

not trying to take anything away from them or from our guys, but there's a reason SF has only one win. they have consistently given games away and beaten themselves... much like we have. the difference? smith had occasionally show flashes of moving the team. without smith, they are probably worse than the bills tbh.

Looked like he was trying to check down to Stewart but he broke off his route and went downfield. McDonald read it and stayed home for the INT.

Actually, the Panthers were well on their way to winning until Steve Smith caused a 15yd penalty and then fumbled. The Panthers had all the momentum before that happened. He tried like hell to lose it for us.

Grr.

^^^Thank you. People tend to forget 49'ers were playing well with Alex Smith in there. I would say we would have lost if he stayed in. Only thing im excited about are the WR's.

Injuries happen, and it wouldn't have happened had CJ not got in the backfield and took him down. Good execution on defense (and a mistake by the O-line) lead to it, so I would just call it "tough luck."

Smith was not playing well at all. He had 1 good pass to Davis for 53 yards in the first quarter. He only went 9 of 19 for 129 yards meaning that otherwise he threw for 76 yards through most of the 3rd quarter. Hardly good numbers.

Take away the pick 6 Moore game them and they scored 13 points. Don't get me wrong I liked when Carr came in, but Smith wasn't exactly killing us either. Gore was a different matter though.
