Walker is the pick if he's there and general consensus is that he will be.

Watching his interview i love the way he speaks. Exactly the traits we need.

You just know he impressed the hell out of them on his visit.

1st round TEs scare me. I don’t know what it is but the top TEs don’t get taken in the 1st round. Even if you would say what about Olsen or Hockenson, I’d come back with they weren’t top TEs on the teams that drafted them.

Not sure what it is but 1st round TEs, especially top 10 ones, do not have a good history, especially for the team that drafted them.

I have absolutely no idea why folks simply dont see this when the data is evident

I like Winston a lot  Need to see if he can cover.  I was hoping for him later in the draft though. We'll see.

the NFL.com draft has us not adding a rusher in the first 2 rounds, that's concerning

Highly unrealistic. We are heavily telegraphing that we will take a DE/EDGE in the first two rounds.

I love, *love* Warren.  Unfortunately, it would be criminal roster management to go TE in the first round with so many problems on defense.

I agree. I'd rather take a FS at #8 than a TE.

And for those that don't think a Safety should be picked that early, just ask Baltimore how high they'd draft Hamilton. Panthers have ignored that position long enough. We talk about not caring about every position but FS. Plenty of in-the-box guys, but when was the last time we had a true ball hawking roaming in the secondary? Honestly can't remember.

    • I mean, he's a professional athlete.  What you think as a fan vs what he should think as a player are completely different.  Being bad doesn't mean you should lack confidence in yourself, and really that is true in all forms of life.  Do everything you want to do with confidence. Justin Fields sucks, but does he ever play like someone who doesn't believe in his own abilities?   Obviously you need more than confidence to be a high-level NFL player, and Bryce will never be that.  But he could still create 2-3 extra plays a game if he allowed himself to play more "free" like he did in the second half of last season.  The fact he refuses to use his legs to pick up yards nowadays hurts this team.  Simple things like that would go a long way for us, even if not for him.
    • I've always thought it odd that the QB is the only guy in the roster who carries a record. If a RB puts up 1200 yards but the team sucks then everyone still says the RB had a good year. If a QB puts up good numbers put the D is atrocious and the win loss record isn't great due to that then the narrative is that the QB can't win. Now that we're finding a way to win with suddenly dominant D and dominate running game people are trying to shift to this "Bryce is just a winner" narrative while he puts up bottom of the league numbers while near the top of the league in turnovers. It's just funny to watch.
