Good thing we will have a top 3 Pick, we have no QB

Has some bad throws, but NO running game. Stewart has lost a step, for some reason, and our play calling is horrible. It doesn't help Smith dropping 2 passes on key plays and then fumbling either.

The loss today was a combined BAD team effort. Our defense couldn't stop a Rams offense that throws for 7 yards at a time. Our overpaid corner backs were getting owned by 5th string WR's that no one has heard of.

stew has lost nothing when you get hit 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage thats the Olines fault. Moore looked decent just the rams blitz every play,so what does DAvidson call on all the blitzes STREAKS AND FADES Hmmmmmm why not a slant or an out or dig route to get the ball out faster:shocked:

Agreed. Clausen has had 3 starts on the sinking ship that is the Panthers, if he can't put the team on his back and win us games, then he is the biggest bust of the last 3 decades.

We should draft Luck or Locker. Give him 3 games to prove what he can do. If he doesn't single handily win us games, then we should obviously bench him and start talk of drafting the next big name QB from college.

top 5 pick? take the most dominate OL available, and if none of the ones available are instant starting caliber then go after the best and most dominate DT.....

send clausen's ass packing to buffalo when we get a real GM and go after a vet qb, make trades happen that actaully benefit us instead of the other team always getting out 1st round pick for nothing in return. There is not one single qb in this years draft class that could come in here and help us win

This fires up my irritation with Fox/Hurney. To save their jobs, they mortgaged the Panthers future by gining up our 2nd Rdr next year for Armanti Edwards. It will be like a first round freaking pick. And we wonder how the Patriots have done it yr in & yr out for so many years.

We shouldn't have a clue what we should do in the draft until the year is over, the slots are established & players declare for the draft. We definitely have to get the best player available...but really 'hit' on the best player available.

It may end up being a QB...seriously. Who knows. If a new coach comes in, he will want to get 'his guy' & with a high draft pick that can end up making or breaking. I think that's the way it will work, unless 1 of the current 2 can show something more than they have during the remainer of the season..or if a proven vet can be signed before the draft.

I'm not advocating for it, b/c I am "sick & tired" of re-building, but anything is possible.

Why would Buffalo want Clausen?

Clausen will be here next year along with a vet QB.IMO

Bills passed on Clausen in the 2nd round, they're not trading for him. Really if a team wanted him based off what he did in college they would have just drafted him themselves.

After his first 3 games, he's not getting much in trade unless he plays more this season and lights it up, at which point why would you even want to trade him?

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
