Couldn't disagree more. Gamble is a huge reason why our pass defense has kept us in games.

As for my pick I am going with Steve Smith. He HAS clearly lost part of his game somewhere, and he routinely tries to make up for it and makes things worse. This team's attitude ride's on his shoulders and he isn't carrying it well.

It's time to face the fact - Steve Smith's game left town with Jake Delhomme. As bad as he was as a QB, I think he had a lot to do with Smitty's fire and determination.

Maybe we all underestimated the delicate relationship between a WR and his QB. 89 + 17 = 106, but 89 - 17 = 72. And we all know 106 is better than 72.

I'd have to go with Stewart. I realize the O-Line and FB play a big role in his numbers, but that doesn't change that fact that he's playing timid, indecisive and worst of all, just plain sluggish out of the blocks. I'm wondering if he's afraid to put too much pressure/strain on the foot with chronic trouble because he's afraid that too much stress on it will cause him to have a lifetime of pain in that foot or what, but he just doesn't look like the same guy.

As an aside, I wasn't onboard with cutting Jake when he was guaranteed money from us and was the only experienced option we had. I'm not saying that he would have played phenomenal or led us to a winning record, but having a capable backup QB is paramount in this league and we definitely screwed the pooch on that front.

Tony Fiametta - We got rid of Hoover for HIM!?

Steve Smith - What happened man? Your hands are made of stone.

Offensive Line(Specifically Run Blocking) - From one of the best in the league last year, to one of the worst? Difference? Jeff Otah and Keydrick Vincent. Guess you can probably throw Brad Hoover in there since he blocked like an O-lineman.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
