It's not a lock that they go that route.

If they do, Josh McCown is the only one that makes sense to me. Rayzor said he might not leave his UFL team though (apparently other teams have called).

Patrick Ramsey is the only other name I can think of off the top of my head.

We do not need another young guy, we need someone who can mentor the crap out our existing ones. Someone who has been a legit starter but got there through working hard than actual talent. At least then good habits will rub off...

name one who could actually be a good mentor available

How can people be ok with Clausen? Its obvious he is digressing with the team and coaches around him. If we play him out this season, it will be absolutely disastrous and he will most likely never start again in the NFL. I at least want to see some half decent product on the field.

because despite what some people have said on here, Pike didn't look much better...?

and that leaves Armanti, who has barely ever been under center, let alone had any reps in an NFL offense at QB, as our starter, and.. *shudder*

I mean hell, if Pike can do it, good. I just... doubt he can. If he gets the nod, he needs to be given more than just one game for evaluation. Be ready for us to suck no matter who starts.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
