I think JR owes the fans an explanation

I have always had the upmost respect for the man but his actions or should I say lack of actions has me wondering what the hell is he thinking.

I am not the biggest Fox fan but most of this years undoing is on manangement.

We gave Delhomey 12 million just to go away and drafted 3 qbs.Edwards is in my opinion the best of the three and he is not even active.

We had an obvious need at WR and did nothing until cream of the crop was gone.

This is the worst managed year of Panthers football I have ever seen.

If he was not going to have at least supported Fox why did he keep him other than wanting not to pay him to leave which was 1/2 of what we paid Jake this year.

The thing that pisses me off is we will not explain to the owners of the PSLs and ticket holders what is going on.

Lockout. Not worth investing. Good business decisions.

Sad thing is we should be aware of this by now.

Well I think the PSL holders much like stock holders at least deserve an explanation of why thier PSLs are worth much less now.So when you say "not a good business decision" you are only referring to the owner or CEO.How would that poo sound to you if you were a stock holder of Enron.

Simple: JR cares about one thing, and one thing only, MONEY. Even though he won't be around for much longer, it's all about money and NFL. No team logo in mid-field? Come on. It's obvious where his allegiances lay.

But hey, why WOULD he care? Half the fans that show up to our games are the OTHER team's fans.

Ever wonder why we were so eager to get rid of our 1st round pick??? A future 1st rounder for Brown... really? I think JR wasn't willing to pay big money to a rookie if we ended up with a high pick. It was also a "fix" for when we didn't plan on payng Peppers big money. He killed two birds w/ one stone... or at least tried to.

I've always thought this was a "going cheap" move, but I never had the answer to why until the talks of the lock out became bigger. I could be dead wrong since we let Delhomme walk away w/ that nice chunk of change for nothing, but it's something I've wondered and thought about in the past.

    • He should've been more than a JAG, but Jeremy Chinn.  I was convinced he was our next defensive star
    • I see what you did there
    • Yeah the only way current set up is fun is if every year a different tiny school builds a super team and makes a run. You just need 1 rich guy to say you know what would be funny, if I drop 30 million and my school has a shot at a national championship.   They won't ever do it but put some sort of tiered salary cap in place and sign them to 4 year deals. You can only transfer up or down tiers no lateral moves because mean ole coach at texas doesn't play me enough so I'm going to Tennessee. So a player at prairie view can transfer to texas and get paid more or a player from UNC can transfer to UNCG because he isn't getting playing time. If a guy is transferring "up" he can get a salary bump if the team has salary cap space. A guy transferring down has to stay at the same salary as he signed his 4 year deal for so the lower tier team would have to have the cap space to sign him. It would stop the money chasing for lateral moves but allow guys who improve massively at lower schools to make more money as juniors and seniors and hopefully keep more guys in one place because the contract is for 4 years.
