I normally hate/disagree w/ most of Gantt's junk but he said another thing that made a lot of sense.

Fox took a stay at home dad, with 5 NFL pass attempts, and was able to coach an out of shape guy w/ no clue about what Carolina does up and ready to start in 2 practices.......but he couldn't get Pike ready in 6 months?

and people say THIS guy is gonna be a hot "item" next year. Watching the Bears/Phins game and seeing all the former head coaches that are now coordinators made me think of Foxy.

No, St. Pierre. Two practices and that was all it took for Fox to claim an out of shape stay at home dad needed to be ready to start ahead of Pike.

I think so. This front office was committed to the youth movement. Why not start Pike or Armanti and see what they've got? There is no better time, especially in Armanti's case. A perfect storm of sorts occurred that opened up at least the possibility of him starting, and I doubt it ever happens again.

As for Pike, he's a sixth-round pick who may not even be here next year, depending on what the incoming coach does with the quarterback situation. At least see what he's got. I guess Fox and Co. just don't care though, since they won't be here anyway.

The way the season is going, and how Dallas' defense is playing, I can totally see them keeping Garrett & signing Fox as DC, because only god knows who in the bloody hell will pick him up as a HC next year.

sure it matters. Reps are reps. In a lost season...why give reps to a St. Pierre? Makes no sense to have St. Pierre ahead of Pike and really it makes no sense to have any WR not named Smith/Gettis/LaFell ahead of Armanti now on the depth chart.

Dude, this isn't about who the best option at QB is. I think Pike is clearly the better choice. But this is about Fox giving Jerry the finger. Fox is retaliating for JR giving him so little to work with this year.

A few last thoughts on St.Pierre-gate before I pack it in for the night. 1) Fox is acting like he's got his next job in hand already,Because otherwise, you wouldn't so blatantly and wantonly disrespect the boss who's paying you $6.5 million or the GM you call a friend. And if you can school the out-of-work for 10-months St. Pierre up in two practices, why couldn't you get Pike there in six months?

Vinny history: If out-of-shape St.Pierre (signed to be stable pony) actually plays whole game, he won't be physically able to next week.

I've wracked my brain, and for the life of me, can't find a rational reason for this move, other than pure spite.

Being committed to the youth movement does not mean start a 6th round rookie, that needs to be bigger, came from a spread offense...against the ravens defense. That would be beyond stupid. But cause the fans want more pike now, they gotta throw more incredibly stupid poo against the wall.

The thing is, its not going to matter who starts. The way our qbs have been falling, pikes going to get in there.
