This season is all but over so all fans can do is think of the future. The future being the draft and most of us seem to be set on luck. I for one am not set on taking a qb with the number one pick and nothing would set us back futher than drafting the next alex smith or russell. Not to say that luck is anything like those two, lots of people feel he's the best qb to come out in the last 10 years. Son of oliver Luck great nfl pedigree and great college coach. He has all the numbers but,to me he just sounds like jimmy clausen 2.0.I'm not sold on drafting the next qb with all the same traits and the same wet noodle arm.i've heard all the same great things i ve heard about clausen about luck, but when asked about his arm all i ever here is its ok or above average.I dont want 2 have the same issues with balls hitting the turf underthrown and cant get it to smitty deep. we Already have a high school hot shot, football pedigree, numbers ect on the roster. I m not ready to write jimmy off but it does seem like he's missing the it factor....so what should me do? Best case would someone falls in love with luck and we trade down grab more picks maybe a 1st and a second. Does that mean we dont draft a qb???? i dont think so..I'd love to pick up green early(best since calvin johnson) and hope someone like cam newton is around in the second. Now with the play it safe model we have in place i dout rich would allow it but im sick of this mind set. Sometime you have to gamble take chances get burned. you have to be in it to win it...you dont want to look back and say what if. jerry jones always looks back and said he wishes he didnt pass on moss and some of us are looking at vick this offseason the same way. bottom line..there are issues with cam were not sure if this money thing is even true yet but, all i care about is can this kid play football. can he win the big game? Now i like many of u wasnt sold on him as a passer saying hes a runner first but, after that alabama game...He didnt beat them with his legs he destroyed them with his arm. This kid has a cannon with 4.4 speed to go with it in the body off a 6'6 250 qb. this guy is a freak a prototype that doesnt come around very often if at all.he's part The Golden Calf of Bristol part vick part russell(arm wise lol) and leads the nation in passer rating..is he as good a passer as luck right now??? no. but he has a ton more upside than luck and the potential to be a one of a kind monster in the nfl. what are the down sides??character concerns...i ve heard of the stolen labtop thing which it was stated he bought a stolen labtop from someone at florida and threw it out of the window. then theres the father accepting money for his kids services. The latter still not being proven yet and could never proven. It seems like all of the kids issues stem from money issues(which shouldnt be a problem in the nfl)which any college kid without a job has been through..If you were offer a sweet deal on a labtop and didnt have the funds for a new one could you say no??? Are these things enuff to make j rich. ban him from ever being a panther???

• Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
• No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
• Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
