Shitty pointless player doing shitty pointless things in life. Go figure.

this isn't pointless at all.

he just kinda weakens the case.

now if like Ted Johnson came out and did it he would rightfully be considered a hero.

Actually, I remember a story that Brenston Buckner told about how Dan Morgan hit Shelton in the head one day in practice, and Shelton was never the same after that, so he has taken at least one big blow to the head. The problem though, is that he said Dan Morgan did that to every rookie RB to test their toughness.

BTW, he also said this wasn't a full padded practice so Shelton did not expect to get hit like that.

Yup, this article says a blow to the head ended his career:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/commentary/news/story?id=5865792

The details of Shelton's situation are somewhat esoteric to everyone but him, his lawyers and the NFL, but here goes: He was injured in a helmet-to-helmet hit that left him with temporary numbness from the waist down. The hit ended his career, but Shelton's attorneys will argue that was only the beginning. The suit claims that the injury was incorrectly classified as degenerative rather than catastrophic by the pension plan (run jointly by the league and the NFLPA), causing Shelton to be denied the maximum benefit of nearly $225,000 per year. Instead, because his injury was ruled to have been one that causes impairments six to 12 months after the initial injury, he is currently receiving about $110,000 per year. The lawsuit is intended to rectify that perceived injustice.

Here's where it will get nasty: The league's public response to the suit -- by its lawyers through The New York Times -- cites a job that Shelton held in a Walgreens pharmacy as proof that he can hold down a job. Shelton's lawyers claim that he tried to work but couldn't because he couldn't stand for long periods of time.

Awe, poor baby can't make ends meet on 110k per year...

    • A backup that isn't worth playing when they need it is just stupid. 2 years in a row Dalton has shown the adlbility ro be fun for 1 game and then he is washed. Thr fun game isn't great but it's fun at least. He is washed at this point and that fine for him. He had a good career.  I agree about the hail merry type for a number 2 by this point in our peocess. It doesn't even have anything to do with Bryce because he has his own thing and it's his 3rd year. It's just about wasting a valuable roster spot in a spot where healthy guys still miss time. It's just dumb when they aren't a rookie and it's a little suspect in year 2...which it certainly was last year after 1 game and the backup's body broke down again. It was a natural time to let Dalton go into retirement and they did the dumb thing IMO.
    • Holy oxymoron. In all seriousness, I wasn't being serious. I'm familiar with Renfrow enough from seeing him play at Clemson.
    • Not really. Just with you and mrcompletely11.  Even though CRA is not a big believer in the team currently, he at least engages in good faith debate regarding them. Trying to have a rational conversation with you where you don't crash out and start being dismissive is outright impossible, so triggering you with poo emojis and pointing out your Bryce hate is the most effort I'm willing to put in until you figure out how to be a person.😛
