Twitter sources, but supposedly the Rams want him. He might actually go Round 1.

Milroe has the physical traits to be the best QB of this class by far, but he has so much he has to get better at as far as being a consistent threat as a passer. He can make some really WOW throws but he's not consistently reading the defense and disputing the ball efficiently. If he's forced to be a starter early in his rookie year he's really gonna struggle but if he can go to a team like the Rams and sit behind 2 vets in Matthew Stafford and Jimmy G plus get coaching from Mcvay he has the chance to be a heck of a player.

The Rams make a ton of sense as they've built a young really good defense, but they are relying on an aging Matthew Stafford who could chose to retire in a year or 2. The Rams coaching and front office are too good to where they'll be in position to take a QB in the top 10 anytime soon so I could definitely see them taking a swing and Milroe as a long-term investment type deal. I think a lot of teams saw what the Packers were able to do going from Rogers to Jordan Love and are gonna try and replicate that success.

Everyone knew he was not ready to play. It was entirely a gamble on potential.

Well, apparently not everyone 😄

Pretty sure there were some calls for us to take him first overall.

The NFL is trying to boost day two rating?

Even him in the 3rd is high, but more than a few GMs and scouting departments must have given the NFL enough proof for them to do this.

He can throw deep and he can run fast. That’s about all I’ve seen from him.

Nothing the Jets do will ever surprise me though.

That's all true. I see the same thing too. Just 98% of each current NFL game the QB doesn't toss 45 yard bombs and doesn't run for long(unless newton/Allen). The QB is a total mid-game and if the D is cheating into the box, toss one of those speedy WRs a go route to bring back honest. I mean besides hail Marys and busted plays, no QB throws deep. Unless you can take repeated MLB hits, they don't run for long either.

It maybe hurts effect. I thought he was also drafted far too early. Then all it took was surrounding him with the best OL, 2 stud WRs, and all-NFL RB. He looked good!!.. I think that's the same thing the Panthers need to do for BY.....

This is why I hate this sort of stat based evaluation...

I feel like they have an AI that just searches for cherry picked stats like this.  First 15 games?

Not sure Panthers fans are the right folks to be drawing a line in the sand over using obscure stats out of thin air to prop up a QB. I seem to remember a lot of that last year.

Can't speak for others, but me and stats aren't on speaking terms.

There's just too much bullsh-t (like Phil Snow's #2 defense a while back).

I definitely understand that. It's an unfortunate result of fatigue from going on now 8 years of losing seasons consecutively. Hopefully we're on the verge of something better.

Ive heard this is a trade up deal for the teams picking early 2nd round. 5th year option.

jets, giants, browns it would not cost much(3rd or 4th or even 5th) for 32.

The reason being milroe is not going it makes to the 3rd round. So if you want him, trading into the late first is the best method.

What a weird draft this is.

    • I need to actually do a full analysis but I think the issue was more that we'd rarely have top-to-bottom awesome drafts but we'd frequently have drafts where only 2-3 players panned out, but the 1st is a Pro Bowler and the other two solid starters or backups. We rarely had drafts where only 1 player was good, and we never had absolute useless drafts. At the very least we always had one really, really good guy. The worst was probably 2005 where we got Thomas Davis (Hall of Honor-quality player) and Geoff Hangartener. Evan Mathis was good, but only after he left.
    • Hurney wasn’t good with contracts but I think he was probably above average at drafting.  Not saying he was great.  Just that most draft classes are worthless.
    • Ehh, teams earlier this season double and tripled teamed him with decent success. The reason he beasted out so much with Miami was for some reason they did not much at all. Bad call on their part. But that is his purpose. If he is eating up people that is huge, and theoretically should give others the ability to make a play. But his surrounding cast to do that isn’t great. Brown is something OCs have to put a lot of time to plan for.
