As much as i dont like jimmy...i think you gotta go defense in the draft

would you say Peppers was known to be a wayyyyyy better than carr that year...without knowing what we know now...if so the using your logic the Texans passed on jordan.....nothing is certain my friend...but i know one thing..the hardest position to make the transfer from college to the pros is QB...whats the easiest DT...you gotta gap and to quote Mike Singletary "you go out and hit people in the mouth"

The texans needed a QB more then they needed a DE. But JP was the best player in that draft and was rated higher by every scouting service. They relize that mistake and that next time they had a chance they took Mario williams. But by then they already had their QB in Shuab.

He one with a all time great defense what player in this draft makes us a all time great defense.

we are a good d-line away from being that....if you dont see that you aint a panthers fan man...cause our d with a pass rush and run stopping ability can be great...as bad as our offense is and as much as our defense has been on the field...we shoulda got at least 9 or 10 40 burgers shoved down our throats

the year we made it to the super bowl due mainly to Jp and our defense....who was our QB?

Unless one of our safties becomes ED Reed you would be wrong. Again if Suh was in this draft it would be a debate but no Dt in this draft is Suh. Marvin Austin is just as good and can be had in the 2nd or 3rd round.

we have the worst offense in the league this year by far, in a time where the rules have made i8t very easy for a team to score a lot and have made the QB even more important.

our defense is around the 12th best in the league.

solution?

ignore the offense and make the defense better.

points? who needs them?

yeah for the john fox status quo.

What the 2000 Ravens, 2002 Bucs, and to some extent the 2003 Panthers did is by and large unsustainable and they aren't examples of models to aspire to. They (the first two, mostly) are snapshots of a moment in time where teams with retard strength in one area and pronounced weaknesses in others walked into a perfect storm type situation and walked out with a Lombardi. The fact that none of them made it back to a Super Bowl and they all had very limited success in the playoffs afterward should further drive the one-off nature of those teams home.

You want consistent double-digit wins, home playoff games, byes, and titles? Getting a quarterback is still the best place to start.
