From PFT:

Hired in 2002, Panthers coach John Fox is finishing his ninth year with the team. And he knows that it will be his last.

In a weekly appearance with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan of Sirius NFL Radio’s Movin’ the Chains, Fox was asked if Sunday’s game at Atlanta will be his last game with the Panthers.

I liked this comment:

Those things aren’t definitely done yet but I’m sure we’ll do that the right way and just trying to be as above board as possible and we’ll cross that bridge when this season’s over.

Why do we listen to coach’s interviews? I mean, seriously, that entire paragraph is three cliches strung together seamlessly.

If someone said that to you in answer to a question in a job interview or business meeting, you would think that person was retarded.

These people say nothing, yet you hang on every word.

Peter King slurping coaches behinds to make sure he doesn’t lose the access needed to get the scoop from a coach that “we just have to take it one game at a time.”

Andrea Kremer breathlessly chasing a coach into a locker room at halftime to make sure she gets the incredible inside info that “we just have to play better on both sides of the ball”.

Football fans look up to these power mad ego maniacs while they look down on you and talk to you like schoolchildren.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
