From his interim 2009 head coaching days....

"We are who we are," said Fewell, adding he will wait until today to announce whether quarterback Trent Edwards or backup Ryan Fitzpatrick will start this weekend. "We have that identity. We're going to try to give a little spark, but we are who we are."

Beware of the headline to your post. Mr. Scot says this is a bannable offense when you post a definitive statement as if it were fact....

"Don't expect the mods to take kindly to this."

"Writing a headline and post that makes it sound like it's already happened without any sourcing? As often as not, that'll get you banned."

I know this isnt true but even it comes true this just shows you how brilliant the panthers are.

My initial reaction when reading, was fug and then my next reaction was a huge sigh of relief that it wasn't Manusky. The fact that Manusky is even a candidate makes me happy with anybody but him

Wow really? How could you really judge a coach before he becomes HC? I swear, these naive comments from this fanbase which makes me thankful that you guys are not running the team.

When asked, all Fewell could muster up was the repeated mutterings of a man who had just been beaten. "Vick.... Vick.... Vick...." was all that was heard.

Yes, the Giants defense coached by Perry Fewell gave up 28 points to the Philadelphia Eagles in just over 7 and a half minutes and lost. Lost not only the game, but also lost a real shot at getting into the playoffs.

I gurantee you i have done more research than you have on all 4 mentioned candidates so far. Besides us fans our entitled to our opinions and dont have to like or agree with everything the team does.

lol yeah, because you have done more research then Hurney and Morrison... Its not all about previous stats and rankings.

and true, everyone is entitled to their opinions but this notion that these candidates can't succeed because because they were on sucky teams is pretty stupid, imo.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
