McShay and a few others have said the Jets are looking at Membou vs Warren. You could be right.

Unsure about the Jags though.

Both currently have abysmal TE rooms.

  • JAX: Hunter Long, Brenton Strange, Johnny Mundt, Shawn Bowman, Patrick Murtagh
  • NYJ: Jeremy Ruckert, Zack Kuntz, Neal Johnson, Stone Smartt

JAX needs an RT like you said though... could go with the big boy in Membou to play across from Walker Little. Positional value is there which would keep the Khans happy as well.

I think on the off-chance that the Jags trade with Chicago should they want to jump LV for Jeanty that they'd probably sit pretty at #10 and scoop him.

I'm still leaning towards the Jets unless Graham is still on the board.

Shoot... I wouldn't be too upset with the Panthers trading back and letting another team (Indy?) take him at #8 (especially if they land Ez wherever they land :3)

Yeah Graham wearing the Jags gear at his pro day and the new GM’s Rams background (was part of landing Fiske who is very similar) have me fitting them. And Strange was a 2nd round rookie last year. Who knows I could vibe totally wrong.

But the Jets, yeah they’re team to watch there.

The only thing giving me pause in locking Graham to Jacksonville is that they took both LSU DTs in last year's draft (Maason Smith in the second, Jordan Jefferson in the fourth). Might be more palatable for them to go TE vs. DT since Strange was a second-rounder in 2023 and after two seasons hasn't cracked 500yds total. Membou just makes too much sense though given their need at RT and him being a mammoth.

I think their board might go Membou, Warren, Graham based on the current roster. They're in a decent position to trade back if it isn't too far for their liking.

If you go by last years 30 visits they will probably take about 4 of those guys in the draft. Whether that's by design or just plain luck I'll let you decide. Last year the 1st pick couldn't keep his mouth shut before the draft but this year, so far, it's been silence.

It is possibly a process of elimination as much as it is a term of endearment.  And they also like to bring in guys they think might not get drafted and will feel a connection with them and sign an UDFA contract.

a while back, I read that they really liked TMac.  It has been at least a month since then...

There's probably some intel gathering with a lot of those visits as well.

Man Strange is going into year 3? Time flies.

No more Engram but yeah, they could probably upgrade.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
