It will probably be more about Wins and how he faired in situations than his statistics. Stats aren't everything.

i'd say stats have more to do with an individual's evaluation over wins and losses. if he constantly is putting the team in position to win but the defense keeps fudging up, then yeah, he should be the starter in 2012. but if he does the same poo he did last year, then no, he doesn't.

I agree it matters about the wins he gives us or atleast putting us in a position to win is what really counts. But if you take into account that Delhommes numbers in 2008- 3,288passing yds, 15TDs 12INTs with a heavy run game led us to the playoffs and #2 seed. If he can manage those number maybe slightly better I think will be enough.

That's some pretty high hopes...sounds like a top 10 QB in the league (the few 300+ yard games and qb rating of >90 part).

IMO, he just needs more TDs than INTs (whether the numbers are high or low) and 80 qb rating. More important than stats though, as others have said, is how he looks playing. If he still looks scared and lost, stats shouldn't save his job. If he looks confident, smart, and at least manages the game well, stats shouldn't lose his job.
