For Those worried about a Lockout, It gets worse.

I say the same thing but I catch myself watching the MLB and NBA when there is no Panthers. Now, what this lockout is going to do is cleanse our fan base, in a good way.

I occasionally watch some games and try to keep up with the Bobcats, but I'd the season was lost it wouldn't bother me. I'm far more interested in college hoops and NASCAR to some degree.

Bobcats being mediocre this year is a breath of fresh air after the Panther season. A lock out there is much less likely but would suck big time. Bobcats have been a lot of fun to watch this year. We did beat Lakers and Celtics at home in the last 10 days...

Hell yea it would suck. I hope they get it together, because it'll be hard to go without both the NFL and NBA. Even though the Panthers suck, I'd still miss seeing them on Sundays. The Bobcats are a decent, exciting, up-and-coming team. I'll definitely miss watching them

I can't believe that the NBA could withstand a lock out and survive. There are a lot more teams near or below the breakeven line, than there are making a ton of money.

I don't think either football or basketball would emerge unscathed if there was a stoppage. I suspect it would hurt basketball harder with the guaranteed salaries. No matter who is blamed, the damage to the sport is done and there are no winners.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
