Doesn't Kalil cost LT money to franchise? I guess we have the cap space it doesn't make much difference. If we work out a deal with Kalil before the start the new year will Kalil still get his franchise tag money or will his new contract replace the franchise tag?

Yes, Kalil is definitely the most logical choice, because he is the guy you can least afford to lose. Bernadeau, who was terrible last year, is the only guy we have to replace him.

We have no proven DEs after Johnson, either....Best case scenario is resign Dwill, Johnson, draft Fairley, figure out a way to pry Kolb away from the Eagles....

Makes sense, Kalil was the most likely to be snagged by someone else - he's much more of a proven commodity than CJ.

...now we just have to find a way to lock CJ down.
