Horn looks quick and he seems to be humble--he sounds like Armanti Edwards when he talks--The thing that impresses me about Horn is his balance and his speed out of breaks.   Watch again and see what I mean.  This guy could be a gem.

Horn is going to make some people really uncomfortable in the receiving room this year.

I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.

His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him.

The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.

I swear, I could feel is positivity and enthusiasm coming out of my computer during this interview. With many players at this stage I can say I see it or he looks to be but with him >>I could literally FEEL it. Not in his words or tone or anything like that. It was just his body language and facial expressions when he speaks.

These new guys are cool. I know Morgan and Canales and talked about looking for certain types of players to build a culture here, that "dawg" mentality, a.k.a guys who love football and everyone says that every year for every team more or less but I can honestly say though that I'm starting to see some patterns forming now with this second class coming in.

For me, the term "dawg" mentality, although colloquial in our culture at the moment maybe isn't a good description of these guys. Dogs tend to bark and make a lot of noise and put on a big show. Our young players have more of a quiet, low key mentality. I see it more as a "kat" mentality which is better fitting since we are the Panthers after all. They seem like they're ready to start sharpening their claws and strike when you're not ready for it.

They also seem to going for more of a committee approach to most positions much like what a lot of teams do at RB. Where you don't really have first string or second string like it used to me. You have players who can play positions but in different ways so that depth becomes more important as all are expected to contribute in different packages and do different things. Our RBs, and TEs will be rotational and used in different way to fit their skillsets and the packages the play is in. The WRs will very likely play out of different roles. Flowing between X,Y, Z etc. depending on packages and game plans etc. Our defense is looking like it will be done in the same way too, especially among the front 7 + a safety. I like it. Instead of having 1 guy who plays most every down in a position we have guys who play roles at most positions in different ways. Allows for a lot of flexibility.

Dan Morgan knows what a football player looks like and he’s stocking this team up. Intelligent guys who play at a high level, love the game and hate losing. Kind of sounds like a Dan Morgan.

Horn: You think a kid that goes from neighborhood to neighborhood, challenging kids to race (probably had some cheddar involved), is ok with losing (did y’all catch the comment on how he doesn’t race ‘for fun’ now). How do you think he feels about being drafted where he was? Does anyone think his game doesn’t translate well to the NFL?

Blackshear… bro, I like you but you’ve got  some serious ST competition. this staff is GOING to make a spot on the final 53 for Horn.
