I have to say, whatever the reason was, Baker was not good here, there was little indication he was gonna be good. Other than that I pretty much blame Tepper for the first 7 years of his stewardship being pure misery and full of fugtardedness. Things were finally somewhat improved upon in year 8. No coach under Tepper even smelled 8 wins before. And that coach did it with Bryce Young. While most people hated on him. -

Neither. Stay with Darnold, keep DJ Moore and CMC. Draft Jalen Carter, Kobie Turner in 2023. Draft Drake Maye if Darnold struggles, or Jared Verse if Darnold gets the Panthers 9 wins in 2024. Draft Tyler Shough to backup Darnold in 2025. And stay with Wilks through 2023. Get a new coach if Maye is the pick or give Wilks a defender in Verse if he wins. That's what I wanted at the end of 2022, and CJ or BY were never worth that cost. A QB with a pro pedigree that grades out in the top 20 picks isn't even worth that cost. -
