Still can’t believe we traded CMC.  I hate Tepper and his idiotic staff

At the time it was honestly the right call, he had been injured constantly and a rebuilding team didn't need an injured huge money RB.  Just per usual we squandered the draft picks. Honestly, I'd rather see CMC competing on a contender than toiling away here ending up on IR late into every season because he's banged up and we have nothing left to play for so let's save the wear and tear.

No honestly we should have kept him we ended up with a ton of dead money for a poo package of picks. What we should have done was traded the guy we hadn't paid yet for an absurd ransom of picks from the Rams. But  it's not like every fan of the team with an ounce of common sense knew we should have taken the deal for Burns.....

Mark Sanchez in critical condition after being stabbed

https://amp.tmz.com/2025/10/04/mark-sanchez-stabbed-indianapolis-critical-injury/

story is getting crazy

"4:36PM: Seemingly confirming the police narrative originally reported, the IMPD have released a second statement announcing that Sanchez has been arrested at the hospital on four misdemeanor allegations of battery, injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for making the final decision on what charges will officially be made, at which point Sanchez will eventually be able to make a plea and defend his position. At this time, Sanchez has not been booked into IMPD’s Adult Detention Center and remains in the hospital."

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
