As reported Wednesday, Belichick signed a 5-year contract at $10 million per year. He'll join a group of seven, now eight, college football head coaches earning eight figures per year. Mack Brown made $5 million in 2024. The first three years of Belichick's deal are guaranteed, Years 4 and 5 are not.

So we're basically stuck for three years unless Belichick can't stand the embarrassment. I'd take to his agent after this year and see if he'd be willing to split the difference with us on the buyout and everyone just move on and pretend like this never happened.
