It's about the inexperience of the room

Coaches can't teach players everything, I just really don't like the lack of a seasoned vet WR (Moore doesn't really count with his 115 career receptions) to help these guys out.  Even just the in-between series stuff where the vets are giving the young guys tips and pointers on things, that will be missed if we don't bring someone else in (or Renfrow back).

In any profession in life you gain experience by doing. We need to know what we have in these receivers in order to move forward accordingly next offseason.

But in any profession in life, you also have people who help teach you the things they've learned over their career to make you better, particularly early in your career.

I'm not saying we need a vet to be taking a ton of snaps or targets, but someone who has been around the block (as an actual WR, not a special teamer) who can help these guys out.

What more could Thielen have taught XL and Coker after a full season and two preseasons? We'll be fine. At the very least, we'll have a really good idea where our WR corps is at the end of the season.

How to read DBs and their body language. How to use small movements to get open in tight coverage. How to recognize tendencies by certain players. I remember watching a special a DB gave about how he could tell where a particular WR was going to move by the way he tilted his shoulder pre snap. It was fascinating to listen to the stuff these guys could see and react to. Its one thing to do in practice against 3s and 4s. Its another to do in real games against starter level coverage players and schemes. That's where I think we'll miss AT most.

no worries, I have spent years studying David Tepper at this point.  He is already ahead of his "problem".  Watch for Tepper to add the coach and bring in a  former Panther WR to help mold these young kids up and teach them.  Dwyane Jarrett should be rolling up any moment to teach them the subtle art of WR.
