If we're just keeping it 100 even with Bryce our hope for the upcoming season with him largely originates from practice reps where he was wearing a red jersey.

I’m confused. We are talking about the preseason hospital balls Renfrow caught from Plummer?

Plummer was worse than atrocious. I'm speaking to the state of the QB room as a whole. Andy was playing horribly then got hurt. Bryce did not have a positive outing in his final in game action. Bryce Perkins is a PS quarterback at best. And Hendon Hooker folks in Detroit were just fine seeing him go.

Cool story. Anyway in regards to the bad throws to Hunter. That was Plummer.

I agree our WR's did not get a fair shake in developing anything in preseason. But that opens the door for why Morgan and Canales set that scenario up in the first place.

I don’t care. Morgan should not care either. We got a 4th it wasn’t like we got a haul. You stay and play or stay and sit out. No damn reason to just let him do what he wants because we want to be a nice FO and look good to other players. So stupid

There is never any reason to crashout over a 35 yr old receiver looking to retire soon...... Never.

Two things can be true. Thielen could have been content playing with us. Yet, when the Vikings opportunity materialized, he had a preference. Doesn’t mean it’s an indictment of the Panthers. Keep in mind:

1) The opportunity arose because the Vikings WR room suddenly became depleted for the early season. In August, Addison was handed a suspension and Nailor went under the knife.

2) Thielen is from Minnesota. He maintains a home there. They signed him as a UDFA when no one else wanted him. His best years were there. He played 9 years there and now has a chance to retire there.

I firmly agree that he was worth more to us than to anyone else. The Coker injury only reinforces that. Unfortunately, Minnesota means more to Thielen than anywhere else which really hurt our leverage.

At least there’s the cap savings. Losing that negotiation point would have been a disaster.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
