Tepper is still pulling the strings

I disagree. If that were the case one of the reporters would have already talked about it like they did before. They talked about it continuously for about a year. I think he has legitimately handed it off but he isn’t going to sit back forever if this group doesn’t figure it out.

We're just bad. Canales is not a good coach. Morgan is not a good GM.

Young is not a good quarterback.

We haven't drafted well in a long time.

All this stuff adds up. And now we're in a situation where no matter who we hire they're going to be starting at a negative because they're going to have to draft good talent and fill the entire team up.

I don't know guys I think we could be bad for a long time.

Eh, I don’t think so.

I think Morgan is running this show, with Canales closely behind him. Problem is, they are both terrible.

Morgan should’ve been let go when Fitt was tossed.

I am all for Morgan getting the boot at the end of the season, but if you do that, you might as well go ahead and can Canales too. Start getting these scouts replaced as well.

In a different way. His hands were on hiring someone to prop up his Young mistake and 2 suckers who thought they could stepped up while now damaging their professional careers. Read this morning thst there was friction between Young and DC after the game and I laughed. What offense or more could they add to make that dud look better? They should have known better but here they are and boy they look set up to take another beating with much less excuses available.

^^^^ BINGO!!!

Now you are beginning to see through the hype. We didn't get here in one offseason and it will not be fixed in one. This will take finding the right FO and coach combination and many years of good drafts by them to dig out of the nfl cellar. This team is FUBAR.

The more I watch this train wreck year over year, game by game, it’s clear as day Tepper is still the one making decisions behind the scenes. Football operations had never been this woeful under Richardson. Tepper is still pulling the strings and this bad football stinks of it.

I know people who work in there and they say Tepper is never in the building.

Tepper is just terrible at hiring and that adds up.

If this season goes up in flames like it looks like it is, at least the cupboard isn't bare. We have some pieces on offense with our o line, t Mac and young te.

We have some pieces on d with d brown, horn and maybe princely and scrouton. And more importantly Morgan hasnt traded any future picks. Yet.

It was worse 2 years ago but the next hc and gm will be walking into a far better situation provided they don't do anything stupid and trade future picks

It's not that Tepper is meddling....it's that post Rhule he has been just expecting random pieces to just work out.  The people don't fit together at key/pivotal spots.  Rhule era was incompetence at the helm.

Frank era was a bunch of random people.  Then the player talent didn't match what the coaches would be doing.

The Canales era is basically a repeat of the Frank era.  Player talent doesn't align w/ what the coaches are doing.

We are trying to run a 3-4 D without the fundamental players for a 3-4 D.  The coach and staff are thrust upon the HC.

On O, we hired a HC that runs an old school O and the key piece is a traditional downfield gunslinger to make that old approach work.  Bryce isn't a QB that can make it work.   He doesn't have the arm.  What he does throw downfield is whack.

Easiest fix right now is removing Bryce, Evero and probably Dan Morgan

The easiest fix is to clean house and hire a respected team builder. Tepper should not even set foot in the facility.

That’s not an easy fix.

We are stuck with DC and DM because we couldn’t get anyone else.

Unfortunately, Tepper has to give those two guys at least three seasons to repair his reputation.

Otherwise, the candidates we need will continue to choose other jobs.

    • He’s been every bit as much of the problem as anyone else. You cant remove him from that fact, he is just as much part of the team and in THE most important position on the field. But this is the first season he’s seen any kind of continuity in his team and coaches. And he’s shown flashes here and there. But we do need more out of him going forward a lot more if we are going to be successful
    • Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this  place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here
    • AR15 is if Justin Fields was fragile and his teammates hated him. No thanks. Ya'll think you hate watching Bryce Young? Wait until your QB can't even complete a 7 yard pass over the middle, which Fields and Richardson can't do. If the draft class was better, I could absolutely see the Titans moving on from Ward already if they got the #1 pick. But so far the college QB's haven't impressed enough. They'll have flashes, but then follow it up with a very meh game. Kyler is already done in Arizona, but he has a ridiculous contract and he's basically Bryce that likes to scramble, so no thanks. If Lawrence can't produce with that team in Jacksonville, what do you think he'll do here? He's tall Bryce who can throw deep but can't make the 4th down throws and crumbles in the red zone. No thanks. I do think Canales wants to move on from Bryce, his body language says so even in wins. He treated Bryce pretty odd this week and Bryce looked checked out in the Packers game. But unless they make another risky trade, its going to be slim pickings. Basically our hopes lie in hitting early in the draft with a Mateer, Nussmeier, Beck type or finding a random backup free agent that has another gear to hit.  I think even with the draft being wishy washy, 4-5 QB's will be taken in the top 7. A lot of teams are just that desperate.
