Is Tepper going to clean the house again after this season?

I’m not…. Dan Morgan is a GM last time I checked, not Tepper.  Manager should be talking to his employees, not managers manager.  When big boss talks to you, overstepping your manager, that’s either means your big boss don’t trust your manager or he’s meddling and sticks his nose into everything.  You pick.

Story was that Morgan was the only one in the prior setup who was willing to tell Tepper he was wrong rather than just rolling over.

It doesn't matter that he's more hands off with the football decisions anymore. He spent the better part of 8 years breeding a toxic losing culture and he is still overseeing the management of the team. The leadership from the top down is broken, and until that is fixed nothing will change.

Discussed elsewhere...

Just taking his hands off doesn't mean a miraculous recovery is on the horizon. Still have to do the work, and in this case the work is an extremely hard thing to do in even the best of circumstances.

I haven't read the thread, and I'm sure someone has probably made this point; but in case they haven't. If past history is any indicator, then no. He's never cleaned house. He's dusted off a room here and there, but he always retains part of the old regime, so our FO, coaching, and roster are never on the same page. Without burning it all down simultaneously, the only was this works is if he hires a reputable consultant that recommends a president of football ops, who evaluates Dan, and if he gets rid of Dan, hire a competent GM (I'd prefer one with a scouting background who is known to be draft guru) and then that GM evaluates Canales, and builds a roster that suits DCs or new coach's plan.

David Tepper can't change who he is. What made him successful in finance is working against him as a football team owner. The atrocious product on the field should equate to bankruptcy but because of NFL revenue sharing and the alternative use of the stadium, he isn't financially impacted by the team being dogshit. So aside from his toxic leadership, there is no monetary gain for him to build a winner anymore. Panthers fans are truly f*cked.

I think Canales is safe no matter what. If he gets to select his own QB and he sucks next season that may be all she wrote.
Evero should have been fired last season. I think Tepper has given Canales a long rope.

Yea...he gets his QB and sucks again then we're in the same position with a new coach and the cycle continues. I'm prolly the only one that likes Canales offense...just execute it.

Heard a stat the D has given up 7 consecutive 200yd rushing games....and what does Evero  do, started the season with a 200yd rushing game with a pretty improved D over last year... That is pretty much  telling us he absolutely needs to go.

I think this team has 2 coordinators running the team and no real HC. Canales is the OC and title of HC while Evero is the DC. Our defense has been ass for a long time and Evero has overseen this collapse, to give up 200 rushing yds again after all of these D-line upgrades says that Canales is not overseeing Evero's game planning. I've never seen Canales talk in great detail about the defensive side of the ball in his press conferences. Trevor Lawrence even said that he felt prepared for Carolina's defense. I can see that there's no real trust or respect between Canales and Evero.

I'm also tired of Canales "always positive attitude." These are grown ass men, they don't need coddling.

I still want to know how these guys survived the Frank era.   Dom can't even look in the mirror at this point and notice things that need fixing.
