Im just glad he's not just being mediocre and fooling some people around here.....

BY has NEVER been the guy and will never be the guy. Physical stature aside which has always been glaring, he can't make NFL throws or actually any throws at all most the time.

His "processing" that was suppose to be like a "super computer" is like a 1988 desktop computer

Yeah, all I wanted from him this year was a definitive answer. Either clearly be the guy or clearly not be the guy. Well, he's clearly not the guy. But there's still some folks hanging on. Bless their hearts.

Jesus Christ. What an embarrassing post.

What exactly is embarrassing about it? What exactly did you expect this year? I'm just reserving my judgement for way later in the season. You know, so we can TRULY see if we've made progress. I mean for Christ's sake, it's the beginning of Canales's second freaking year, four games in. I'm just as sick of losing as you, but we knew going into the season what we had. So why are you so surprised at what is happening? There are still 13 games left to play. Let's see what happens in the long run and stop being so knee jerk. And jerks!

There are no trap games for bad teams. We didn't overlook the Patriots. We weren't looking past the Patriots. We got our ass kicked because we sucked. It looks like we kicked the Falcons ass because we were a trap game for them.

Bryce is 7-27 as a starter. No one is making a knee jerk reaction. Stop.

I don't think most Panthers fans think we really dominated a "good" Falcons team. Most of us saw it for what it was. Nothing to get too excited about, but something to build on. And I mean trap as in the Panthers were playing with a little EXTRA motivation as in "must win" against Atlanta at home. New England game today was similar for them. Trap games don't mean anything to GOOD teams because they can overcome adversity, Panthers cannot. Look... I'm not trying to justify the Panthers poor play. I'm just saying it's going to be a long season if you expected too much coming into this season. I'm also not saying anyone in particular is wrong with their take. I just want to see some progress at some point this year

I wonder if the knives come out against Young when they finally bench him for good.

The knives will always come out no matter what. It's what happens when we haven't been successful for years. Winning in this league is all that matters. Now... what's the secret to that?

Legitimately the lowest I’ve ever been as a panthers fan. I thought he turned a corner and would be one of the better QBs in the league. Instead he may go down as one of the worst QB to play in the nfl, my god his decisions and execution are legendary in a seriously bad way.

I was there in spring 2023. I just knew. Could see it in Bryce, what he is. College. And for me to see it, it needs to be obvious. I guess everyone thought his other ‘qualities’ overrode his physical deficiencies. Relative to the NFL.
With Tepper, we are down to hoping a blind squirrel finds that nut. On top of that, we have to worry he will think he can tell the nut how to be a nut.

    • We can't forget this classic also. Perfect for how Bryce looks on the field each week
    • He is trying to build a team that can carry a crap QB because the owner insists that we coddle the crap QB.    PS I don’t know What Tennessee was doing firing Vrabel.  I know that Dave’s (and most of the posters here) obsession with having a shiny modern offensive brain and the finesse offense that generally comes with that preclude interest in hiring Vrabel or any other defensive guy.
    • I feel like Canales, or anyone that had to depend on Young for success, should get a shot without him. IOW I agree we need to see that. He is green as poo. With too much on his plate, having to be QB guru play calling guru (around what might mouse can do), and the rest of the team too.  Steep learning curve.  People talk about you Young going elsewhere and succeeding should be wary of that with Canales.[edit: not saying immediately, but he can get himself another shot] We knew to get a coach we had to hire one too early. And we did. So I am more hesitant to trash his potential than I am BY9. How big or fast Canales is, doesn’t matter; we can”t go by his physique to see his ceiling like we can with a high school sized QB with bad footwork.   as far as improving….. When the OL’s continuity gets messed with, you have setbacks and it takes time to re-establish. That happened to Dalton last year I think.  Things around him were just not that good. Out of sync. It never really settled back in before he had his accident. Same thing is happening here so it might be a while before we see any improvement, especially with this guy playing QB.  Maybe at home against a team doing us favors, we can see something better.
