Drafting X is like the poster board for mistakes. Hopefully, lesson learned.

His per game averages are abysmal when compared to last year. The only thing that has improved is his drop %, which is down from 8.3% to 5.0%.

He is literally DFL in NFL Next Gen Avg. YAC Above Expectation.

He has been TERRIBLE this season and he is aware.

I am surely not saying he is meeting expectations or maybe living up to hopes.
NGL I look at the positives because he is from Mullins SC.

I look at who is supposed to be getting him the ball and did a very poor job of it in I think game 2.

I ain’t going down with the Mullins ship if he starts loafing again or slacks off of his effort at blocking where he has been making nice but thankless contributions.
And hope he gets some more opportunities for balls and does something with them

He has both loafed and played hard at times on the blocking front. I have no idea what is going on with him but he is quickly moving towards being buried on the bench if he doesn't figure it out.

I am happy to have Coker back so we can continue to build out some WR weapons. If XL doesn't get his head in the game, he is gonna start seeing a lot less snaps.

It is what it is if they don’t perform. I can’t give a poo at that point

And I don’t know anything to base this on really but have a bad feeling that people are placing an awful lot of hope into Coker. Who we know came in out of shape and has missed a ridiculous amount of time over an injury that no one seems to know how he got. Went for a couple of weeks to now it is week 7.

I think what we hope to see from Coker is the same stuff we saw last year. Great route running and good hands. I am not under any illusions that he is suddenly going to be prime Steve Smith but if you look at a guy like Jacobi Meyers, he has carved out an extremely successful NFL career as a less than elite athlete that excels at route running and getting open.

IMO, that's Coker's potential ceiling and that would be fantastic.

I think Coker might have a case of the “is fat.”

TBD. That was what the team has said but then you had all the reporters in TC talking about how great he looked conditioning wise. Either he showed up to OTA's in sad shape or there is some messaging going on.

Either way, he isn't going to be able to not be in good or great condition and have a lengthy career. He better learn that lesson early.

It's something Nacua was public about battling.

He’s missed a month and a half with a non contact soft tissue strain

Okay yes it’s low but he missed two games and the two games he was back for RICO had almost all the offense.

The last game before he was out, the passes were not helping him.

It’s not trying to take up for him as much as it putting it into some context.
I mean if he hadn’t missed those two games and had 100 yards instead of 50 it would still be disappointing.

50 yds is awful for 4 games.
