Bryce Young has now played one full seasons worth of games since returning from his benching in 2024

I wouldn't. I also don't consider 3rd string caliber QB's as adequate replacements.

Well you know, that ain’t my list but argument’s sake, wasn’t Daniel Jones a scout team player last season at one point? Wasn’t Baker that here at one point?
Surely there will be some kind of path out of this, if ‘we’ decide want out.

Its downright funny and sad that you literally have to cherry pick to stats to make Bryce look good. There is no other way you can do it, it's also funny that this is being thrown around so much right now before we actually get to the tough part of our schedule. Lol

When you consider the money involved, the smart decision would be to walk away from  Young and bring in a cheap alternative.

What I know will happen though is they'll exercise his fifth year option.

If you base your entire evaluation on outliers, that is how you end up with Bryce Young.

100% agree. If you don't think he is the guy, trade him before the 5th option is taken in the offseason. Pull the band-aid off and move on.

Doesn't matter if the answer is Dalton, free agent QB, draft QB or some combination. Be decisive about making a move.

That isn’t how I would describe how we ended with Bryce. But I’ll spare you me repeating that.

As of today what do you figure the odds are they do that? I am thinking he really has to mess things up before they would even think about it.

I think if it was strictly Canales’ choice that BY would be gone. Tepper is the wild card because Bryce as his guy. He probably isn’t ready to have that much egg on his face. Dan and Dave need to have a sit down with Tep after the season and try to get him on board with cutting the cord.

Well things can change. He has plenty of help now and this is his shot in my opinion.  It won’t get any fairer to him than it is this year. And we are going against the division 5 more times plus some contenders.  It is a good test. Kind of have to let it play out.
I lnow that personally I need to see something I think is not a blip but is repeatable on a consistent basis against challenging competition. High bar not low bar.

This is the reason I’m leaving this forum. Yall refuse to be objective when it comes to Bryce. All QBs miss throws over the course of a game. It’s really nothing. Those stats with this roster is something you should be proud of in your young QB. But we all know what it is. Yall got it. If there are any real ones left here from back in the day yall can hit me up on private message, but I’m out.

@AceBoogie Where you at? You need to come defend your QB!

    • The right answer is neither and drafting Maye with the #1 Pick of the 2024 Draft lmfao we traded away the #1 in a QB LOADED DRAFT
    • I have no idea why you are so irrationally upset about the notion that going out and spending $150 million free agency dollars on two interior offensive linemen could be construed as a panic response after our #1 pick we traded a fortune for had one of the worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years. It is objectively what transpired. Dan Morgan as of right now is a mixed bag. Some really good some so so some not so good some bad some really bad. You take any rational criticism personally like you are related to him or something. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Anyways. The predicament Dan Morgan finds himself in for this year will define his future as GM. I sincerely hope he navigates it to perfection. But the circumstances are largely of his own creation. And not just in his stint as GM but going back to his time as assistant GM. Which conveniently people like yourself don't like to talk about. That is the reality of the situation. I like how you will carry water for Dan Morgan to the point of getting into random spats with people but make no mention of Bryce Young's glaring limitations and shortcomings as a starting QB yet go out of your way to put the onus of our struggles squarely on Canales. I mean I've been quite critical of Canales too but he sure isn't the only one to blame for our problems.
    • They weren't well thought out. We needed one, not both. 2 top center/guard candidates were going to be available in the 2nd. We would have been fine with JPJ or Frazier. Drafting either over XL or Brooks would have made perfect sense. Hell, drafting both would have made sense even if we had signed Lewis or Hunt. Instead we drafted a 1 year wonder project WR and a luxury RB that we didn't need since we had Hubbard. Draft IOL, pay tackles. Plenty of 2nd round guards and centers start immediately and play very well. Those 2 picks were not good then, now, no matter how much explaining anyone tries to do. Several of called it then.
