4-3, over 500 for first time in career, bills coming off a bye week with a weak defense, hasnt really shown he’s worth an extension, etc. plus if he misses this game then you definitely sit him against Green Bay.

Well he does only have one win over a team with an above .500 record in his career so far(10-7 Texans in 2023).

So maybe it isn't too far fetched now that I look at the wins.

Well he does seem to be tough and resilient. I got no issue with that.

But.....you still have to play the game well to get credit for all that poo. That's just an aside.

Sort of like Horn's early career. Who cares how good you are when you spend all your time on the bench? Hard to get a lot of accolades on IR.

I will care about Bryce's resilience and toughness when he is slinging the rock around for win after win, being a primary reason we are winning. Until then my response will be......cool?

Per Joe Person

Bryce Young walking into practice with his helmet and without a noticeable limp.

The x panther fans are just as bad as the facebook panther fans not sure if they are real people are bots but they think coach killa young is nfl mvp throwing for 400 yards a game instead of a buck fifty and a td and some turnovers.  They must not be watched many panther games over the last few years to see him in action or they wouldnt be that worried if he plays or not and perhaps be looking forward to seeing how badly father time is treating the red rocket.

There haven’t been any big games.
Is this like big time throws?

I would argue strongly that there are no big time throws without big games.
The definition of whatever they are quantifying is fuged.

Even if it is his biggest game (why?) there isn’t anything big time about it.

Elimination games in season.
Clinching games in season.
Post season playoff games.
That is it as far as what big games are.

I suppose a division showdown  game could be considered big but that will likely fall into the elimination or clinching regular season bin.
IMHO.

I’m sweating.

Bryce has to know the stakes of this season for his career. He might try to come back too early. Trevor Lawrence did that, was terrible, they missed the playoffs because of it; he still got the contract extension, and now he looks like damaged goods.

but he got the bag so whatever I guess.

Worst case scenario for us and also the most plausible

Twatter is the biggest sewer that humanity has created(yet). I wouldn't really read any comments there.

    • Miller being less raw and more pro ready makes sense of why they picked him. With us having a capable starter in Walker the lower floor higher ceiling player makes sense for us as well. I agree with that.
    • I'm from Michigan and have had this discussion with my Lions friends, and they all agree with me, they were never going to take Freeling over Miller.  As, yes, you are correct, they could have left Sewell at RT and taken Freeling, but they are in a SB contention window right now. An OL with Freeling at LT and Sewell at RT is not as strong as Sewell at LT and Miller at RT would be for this upcoming season and likely at least next year as well. 5 years it could be looked back upon as a long term "mistake" to take Miller over Freeling, but for a franchise like the Lions, you can't worry about the long term when you have current SB aspirations.  It's all about maximizing their current SB window over the next 1-3 years. And it's not about style, it's about day 1 readiness, and a lot of "experts" aren't even sure if Freeling is ready to play Week 1 yet at the position he's used to, let alone switching to a side he hasn't played before, but a career starting RT is going to be more than ready to fill that role for them Week 1. I'm 100% convinced that if our draft positioning was swapped, we'd have still taken Freeling, they'd have still taken Miller, and both teams would have got the OT that they preferred due to what each team needs right now and what their current realistic aspirations are for the 2026 season. We're in a position where we can let our drafted OT sit and learn for a bit, they needed a week 1 starter, for me that's where this discussion becomes very easy to understand why each team took the player they did.
