That’s a lot of suspension of disbelief you’re asking. I suppose all the hair pulling in the game day thread about it as soon as the play happened was coincidence as well.

I’d be curious how much of your perception on this is confirmation bias. There’s plenty of plays he doesn’t go down with minimal contact. There’s plays I’m sure I’ve looked at as a slip on the turf that you’ve looked at as going down on minimal contact. Legitimately curious what the actual data is.

If anything, Bryce has dramatically outdone the qualms about his size and durability.

Now his QB play.....woof.

His style of play lends itself to not be injured too much. Then you watch someone like Baker or Dart and they are willing to run through a brick wall to score or get a first down. Now for obvious reasons Young shouldn't play that way but it will be hard to ever contend for a title with his safe style of play.

Idk, I loved Cam, but would have loved him a lot more with a longer career. Tom Brady won plenty of titles without running through brick walls.

His durability was like the last negative I would look to in size related critique. Uh, evaluating him.
 

There have been plenty of small/short players at other positions that were tough as hell. RB, WR, some DBs and returners. 
And how tall was Sam Mills? 
His height, we know restricts his vision. His size inhibits ball security. Big time. I mean that could be attributed more to his lack of strength but it comes under size I suppose. 
I get that throwers don’t want that upper body too bulked and tightened up but he should have been building his base it doesn’t appear that he has done much.

Cam had to play that way to win. We could of just lost games to keep him healthy I guess.

You'll have to have a conversation with that poster to get more on their thoughts. But these kinds of uncomfortable discussions have existed with every single QB who has started games for this team for an extended period of time. We cannot act as if Bryce Young is the only one who has faced tough questions and it's completely unfair and doing so is only going to have the complete opposite effect of what you seek because he is not a mid round pick or Mr. Irrelevant.

      I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.

      Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
