It's really not a surprise is it?

And that is squarely on Canales. His situational awareness is absolutely appalling. Why in the hell are we not rotating backs a la J-Stew and D-Will? Situationally subbing in and out based on hot hand, personnel, down and distance, leading or behind, end of half/game, explosive vs control…. ???? It’s shocking to me that I can see that from my couch yet our coach can’t from the sideline.

Without dominant personnel (you know what I’m going to do and you can’t do anything about it), you have to avoid becoming obvious and predictable. There was zero flow/rhythm today.  Every coach we have ever had (Rhule doesn’t count) would’ve benched Dalton.  See Rodney Peete 2003 vs Jax G1 at halftime.  See wildcat Dwill vs ATL 2006.

I mean, Dave just can't make the tough decisions, unless he's absolutely forced to.

Don't tell me that Tepper is saying, "You play Chuba or else." The man didn't get where he is because he refused to hurt peoples' feelings. Sometimes I believe that Canales says, "We have to play this guy because he's the one that we invested in." He's just so damned thick-skulled. On the broadcast, Greg Olsen said something to the effect that "They're going to have to figure some things out," when comparing the averages between Rico and Chuba. He was being nice and politically correct. 4 yards per touch. What the hell should there be to figure out? And yet, Dave Canales is fúcking around. It's absolutely frustrating.

When getting blown the hell out, put your other QB in, and if you're loathe to put him in, in garbage time no less, why in the fúck did you acquire him?

I mean, I just don't know.

I have been real patient with Canales but the blind spot with Chuba is fuging trying my patience and in his post game he wouldn’t second guess himself. He better do some reflecting.

I don’t care that much about not seeing Hooker even though  I was fuging done with Andy.because of him mental mistakes.
The sting of the loss will fade, it is one loss and should be a learning opportunity -  the injuries are going to be the biggest setback. It was raining down on us.

The writing was on the wall when the offense could barely muster a single trip to the end zone against the winless Jets.

I swear to God if the steelers are dumb enough to fire tomlin and we dont immediately tell DC to hit the road then I am utterly and completely done with this joke of a franchise

Wasn't David Tepper 1 of the minority owners leading the charge to can him? Might have just been rumor, but I recall hearing something about it back then.

This loss rests squarely on DM and DC.

DM for thinking Dalton was any level of competent backup quality and not actually pursuing a real backup that might actually be able to win a game or be competitive in one.

and

DC for being the most stubborn ass coach possible and not using the running back averaging 8 YPC and instead feeding the one averaging 2.5 YPC to the detriment of the entire team and offense. McDermott didn’t seem to have a problem letting his best player feast on our defense.

It didn’t have to be this way. We could have been in the game but we never had a chance before we even stepped on the field. I'm sure some people will say Huddlers are stupid and don't know better than the professionals. I beg to fugging differ.

McDermott beat Canales with the game plan Canales should have used. And he rubbed it in his face on national TV.

Not many coaches have that inner Belicheck, Saban and Harbaugh. Most coaches inevitably will have a sense of loyalty to players who have weathered the hard times, hence the expiration date they all, except a select few, have. DC just don’t have what it takes.

If you're playing to win games, you play your best players, especially when that player accomplished something that hasnt been done in 15 years. It's not a novel concept and certainly not one that a NFL HC should struggle to grasp.

Agreed 100 percent. Some coaches have that in them. Most don’t. Ours most certainly, does not.

This game was a lot closer than the score suggests. DC and Dalton tanked this game.

We needed to score on that second drive and Andy blew it. Rico should have been given the bulk of the carries.

Refs fuged us on XLs fake holding call and JCs “hold”. They immediately lead to Buffalo scores.

100% correct.

we also have a team that is completely incapable of responding to adversity. The first sign of trouble and the team just unravels. I think that says a lot about coaching more than anything. It can also be explained with the amount of youth we have playing key roles on offense and defense.
