Dart is going to get himself killed because he’s literally the stupidest person in any room. His camp say he left usc because Caleb was there but there’s a ton of rumors that he straight up could not understand the offense. Hes just “throw ball hard run sometimes.”

like skateboo might read picture books but he has to explain them Jaxson.

Neither of those guys is long for the league if they keep playing the way they currently do but it'll be fun to watch as long as it lasts.

I mean, let's be honest... you basically just described Ben Roethlisberger coming into the league. That guy would lose an IQ comparison battle with a lamppost and he was still a great NFL QB.

I'm not crazy about Young. But with the proper situation (good Oline plus running game, stout defense and Wide outs, he can be servicable). They really don't have a choice. So basically, an entire offense built for him and a respectable defense, they can win some games..,

The pro-Bryce fans (not saying you're one of them) are leaving a major point out of the equation. Bryce is nearing the point where most starting QB's in his position receive major contract extensions. Bryce has shown that he can't put a team on his back an lead them to success. He doesn't make anyone better. The team has to carry him. I don't think its wise to build your team around a QB who needs everything to be just right in order to "win some games".

How is the team suppose to build and maintain good O-line and running game, stout defense , Wideouts, etc. that you mention in the post if we have to give Young a 50 mil per year extension in the next year or two? QB's shouldn't get that type of money if they're merely "serviceable". I'd rather draft/acquire a serviceable QB for 2026 to keep the QB cost manageable and continue to build up every other position on the roster until we can find a real franchise QB.

We literally go into every game outmanned at the games most important position. I said this in a post last week. With the possible exception of New Orleans, every team in the NFC has a better starting QB than Carolina does.

This.

If we don't get real fuggin' honest with ourselves real fuggin' soon, we're gonna end up like Miami with Tua, paying franchise-crippling money and inexorably stuck with a guy who has "shown flashes" but has serious limitations.

Yesterday was the end of the Bryce conversation, even here.

they should put a picture of jim calling timeout with 11 in the box in the ring of honor. If you’re not trusted to throw a check down there you’re not an nfl player.

I would like to see what Canales would do with Howell if we could somehow get him from Philly.   He's young and on the last year of his rookie contract.

Considering everything he did pretty well with Washington in his one full season at QB.  He has all the tools and he has some experience.

Philly would rape us like the Bears did.

It's tough to name a worse player. It's pretty impressive that the Panthers were able to find one in Dalton and also have him on the roster. Bryce is ass. Pure and simple. Dalton being even more ass isn't "proof" of anything other than our QB room is super mega ass.

The answer for next year is to sign a decent journeyman vet in FA and keep our options open in the draft.

Yeah the idea of it being all or nothing on a Bryce replacement is the way to think about it. Get a Jameis or equivalent in FA, draft a guy wherever and make camp an open competition. instead of coddling Bryce. At the least it will make him take the job more seriously, best case we upgrade and he either gets traded or makes a good backup
