QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)

Howell really doesn't have a chance of seeing the field in Philadelphia outside of injury or mop-up duty. If Howell isn't under contract, you don't think the Eagles would be willing to let him go for 4th or 5th?

If they did that's a trade you almost have to make. Even if never became starter that wouldn't be a bad price to acquire a backup QB. Howell would be an immediate upgrade from Dalton.

Like I said earlier, I haven't seen an extension for Howell and I believe he'll be a free agent.  If he is a free agent he'd probably be very interested in competing for a starting position instead of a back-up plus he's a Carolina man.

He's from Waynesville.

76 replies and not a single person has a legitimate answer on who they would bring in.

BY will make 9M next year regardless of what happens so he will be here next year. It will cost around 26M to sign him to his fifth year extension. The real question is who would you bring in instead of paying him. Who is or will be available?

Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson, Kenny Picket, Sam Howell, Geno Smith. Are any them going to make the Panthers significantly better?

Brock Purdy and Daniel Jones may become available but neither will be cheap. What would you pay for them - assuming you don't sign Young to 26M

There’s no way in hell we draft a QB early in 2026. Bring in a vet with good size and a good arm to pair with Bryce. Got to see how the rest of this season goes to see if he’s brought in as a backup or a competitor.

Who would that be.
