One QB is getting better every year while one is getting worse every year. It's not crazy logic, it's just logic

One QB had one of the worst rookie years of all time so he couldn't GET any worse than what he was. The improvement is the equivalent of a bottom 20 qb in the league and one 3k passing yard season which just matches the other qbs bad year.... so it isnt saying much. Yeah Its logic but its also no context applied.

All I'm saying is that CJ isn't showing much. If Bryce doesn't pan out, then the Panthers need to draft someone else. Trading for CJ isn't the answer to our problem.

no, you said that Bryce is better than CJ right now. That their trend lines have already crossed. That is demonstrably false if you are bound to the limitations of objective reality.

Give me a choice between the two right now? I'm taking Bryce. It's not false. And it is objective. I'm sorry your "reality" doesn't allow you to see that.

The Panthers doubled and tripled down on putting guys on the field that would benefit Bryce

If you did that for Stroud? Of course I can’t know but feel like it would have made a difference.
I get the recency bias with Young’s playoff game vs Stroud’s but zoom way out and look at arc of both players’ teams, seems almost the opposite in Houston, to Carolina. Like, how can we help you in Carolina, vs you’re on you own in Houston.

One of my favorite things are people jumping for joy saying Bryce is less bad than Stroud. Nothing about Bryce being good, just that Stroud was even worse this year… We all have a different expectations I guess…

Some people have carried water for so long I think they just don't know what else to do. Fascinating.

I know you like to be the sarcastic Bryce basher around here, but their trend lines crossed this year. Now it's just about what happens from here.

how did they cross?  not being rude just seriously would like to know bc stroud was better by far in y/g qbr passer ratinf and yard per pass. i mean if u plotted out their trendlines they will not cross for most categories for 5 plus years and some never cross

Super Bowl between a qb who was tossed to the curb so the panthers could draft Bryce, vs a qb who asked the panthers not to draft a qb in 2023 so he could be drafted by his home team in 2024

but yeah tell me how this is the year Bryce is gonna prove he’s a top 22 qb

    • Would rather spend big on an edge rusher and address MLB in the draft, we need a vet edge who can step in from day 1 and be our best pass rusher, better than Scourton who I think has great potential. We're not getting that in the draft this year, use that on MLB or an OT if there is a starter there and then take a MLB in the 2nd.  That would be a much better way to allocate the cap to the starting lineup while giving us the best results as well.
    • I have to say, whatever the reason was, Baker was not good here, there was little indication he was gonna be good.  Other than that I pretty much blame Tepper for the first 7 years of his stewardship being pure misery and full of fugtardedness. Things were finally somewhat improved upon in year 8. No coach under Tepper even smelled 8 wins before. And that coach did it with Bryce Young. While most people hated on him.
    • Neither. Stay with Darnold, keep DJ Moore and CMC. Draft Jalen Carter, Kobie Turner in 2023. Draft Drake Maye if Darnold struggles, or Jared Verse if Darnold gets the Panthers 9 wins in 2024. Draft Tyler Shough to backup Darnold in 2025. And stay with Wilks through 2023. Get a new coach if Maye is the pick or give Wilks a defender in Verse if he wins. That's what I wanted at the end of 2022, and CJ or BY were never worth that cost. A QB with a pro pedigree that grades out in the top 20 picks isn't even worth that cost.
