I love how everyone is acting so surprised by this, it's actually pretty comical that it's a shock to anyone.

This is how it is in ALL sports.  It's the same reason we were in tight games last year against teams like KC and Philly.  

I'll bet the same people surprised by this right now are the same ones who thought those games were the proof that Bryce was legit and this team wasn't far from being in contention.

Teams have down weeks, whether it happens because they're playing a weak opponent so don't think they need to take the week as serious or because a team just got too big headed after a good streak of games/wins, it just happens.

There have been very few teams who have ever been 100% locked in every week, you're talking about 2007 Patriots or 95-96 Bulls type of teams there.

Hell, just look at the Bills this week, there was no reason for them to lose that game and they got blown out.  But sure, we're the franchise with the culture problems because a few guys got their head over their skis this past week.

Yes that leadership council thing is total nonsense. The coaches make the damn decisions. Period. It’s ok to get input from veteran players in a private setting but this kumbayyah nonsense is for the birds.

I can understand the concept of this under the Rivera era where we had very strong locker room culture and respected veterans. 

Who in the fug could that possibly even be here? A couple of the OL? Jansen?

These guys are a mishmosh of "never have had any success" or random veterans. 

Not saying it isn't possible but there being a lot of "strong leaders" in this group in terms od understanding NFL success is far fetched.

Leadership council… most coaches have vets in the locker room that are conduits and keep them informed of the vibe or  problems, and also take whatever message the other way back to the team.

The making it an official thing with a title is not really my favorite idea.

Weird. I was talking to an individual who used to or (maybe still does) have some connections around there for a lunch today. Of course the Panthers come up he brings up people not being focused and calling people out by name. 8 hours later, I’m scrolling on social media and seeing the same names on different platforms regarding players fuging off. Either truth to it or everyone from all different spectrums just hate them lol.

Yeah it's disturbing this is true. No coach should have allowed that kind of attitude.  I don't know who exactly they're referring to but I suspect it was one of more of our terrible performers... It's just crazy to think it could be Horn (given how much losing he's endured) or Bryce (... I mean he has to know how bad he is...).

Teams lose games, big deal. If a bunch of players come out and say that guys took it easy, it indicates a problem.

Got to think multiple guys calling it out….likely are calling out a legit issue as a means to yield results.  Legit problem mindsets in house.   It’s also odd it’s not the “leaders” in Carolina calling this poo out

The entire team talked about it with the coach in the locker room after the game. I don’t think Nick was calling anyone out; rather, he was just telling the reporter what the issue was as was discussed by everyone

Giving the ... Leaders ... The benefit of the doubt, it's possible that they're addressing it quietly internally.

Crazy that a rookie sees it. I was afraid of this with the whole "victory Monday" thing but wasn't gonna make a big deal about it before we saw the results. Well, we saw the results. Absolutely wild this poverty franchise really started feeling themselves and thought they'd arrived after somehow squeaking out a 5-4 start.

Probably more of the winning in Green Bay hype than 5-4 start deal. Had we beat the Giants or Titans I doubt that attitude carried over like that.
