That’s not entirely XL’s fault. With Ladd being thrown to by Bryce it might have been 45 ypg for McConkey.  Bryce has thrown for less than 200 yards in 5 straight games.

XL vaulted on the scene being a down the field jump ball threat that could catch slants and take it to the house. Bryce is good at neither of those things.

Bryce doesn’t throw it to the middle of the field unless things break down ( he can’t see) and you already know about his noodle arm.

I don’t think XL will ever be a star but I think he will find a role in some one’s offense due to his athleticism.

Good points that some seem to be easily forgetting.

As for Ladd, the best thing that happened to him was NOT being drafted by the Panthers.

I am well aware, especially considering how many more targets XL has gotten in that timespan.

Hence why I have apologized to TMJ and Mingo so often.

Bad ball placement.  I mean we all have eyes, Bryce can't throw a decent ball to XL.

McMillan is 13th in the NFL in yards but 86th of 89 eligible WRs in catchable ball rate.

Let that sink in

Honestly think he’s gonna be a top tier receiver, on par with guys like Jefferson, Chase, JSN, etc. once he gets an actual QB.

He will be good but I don't think he has that level of speed to be elite.

He’s faster than I expected and you really don’t need elite speed to be that caliber. You might be right but he’s definitely impressed me so far in a pretty shitty situation for a receiver to be in. In KC or similar situation he’d be putting up 1400+ yards easily

Hes easily a 10 year pro bowler but chase and Jefferson are from another world

One point I have heard made  by several analysts that may have relevancy

McMillian and Legette are both high pointers catching  the ball and both had  little separation in their college careers and that continues to the nfl

this Qb, however, requires separation and in college traditionally had receivers who could get open

Ole Adam knew how to get open …I’ll say that for him…or comeback to the qb when he was in trouble

He doesn’t know how to get open.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
