Canes are going nowhere with Freddie as their primary goalie. Can’t outshoot teams 2:1 in the playoffs just to have a chance to keep the score tight.

Stats tell the tale. Cant let in 4 goals on only 23 SOG and pitiful on faceoffs, especially on the PP. 

First two goals were Oilers breakaway with defensemen MIA.

We need a 2 goal a game max goalie, and haven’t seen one yet.

Just keep picking up as many points as we can whilst we wait to get healthy. Most teams would have a losing record with half of their D out

Ehhhh I think the jurry is still out on that.....

 

Expected goals allowed last night was 4.012 actual goals allowed by Freddie 4.

 

We have BIG problems defensively right now with no Slavin and Chatfield...   

 

None of our goalies have performed well and tbh no goalie would consistently look good when facing he kind of chances our guys have this year so far....

 

Make no mistake we have simply being outscoring people so far not playing canes defensively sound hockey.

We had last change in overtime. They put their scorers out to start. We started our slowest players. Should been Aho Eihlers Nikishin.

We have a problem with defense but that's to be expected playing without Slavin and Chatty. Also have a faceoff problem and I get what they are doing with Stankoven and it will probably workout long term but damn is it hard to watch in real time.

Yes, the defensive injury list is long and the.best we can hope for is to hold their own until they get healthy.

That said, the PP sucks more than last year, the PK is no longer elite and the FO circle is killing the offense.

Give it time. Some teams will start falling out of it and will open it up for Tulsky to trade for one.
