We just beat the best team in the nfl and some of yall still throwing personal shots and obsessively hating on our qb still.

He can’t throw the ball downfield? He’s proved yall wrong over and over. Stay mad haters, he’s gonna be here for years to come

You do realize that none of his downfield completions were him "slinging dots", right?!?!

All of the downfield plays were lofted touch passes, which yes, they were well placed throws.  But there is a Grand Canyon sized gap between a well placed touch pass and "slinging dots" which would be driven throws into small windows.

I'm not bashing Bryce after today because it's not warranted, but let's not start giving him credit for things he wasn't doing because you can't differentiate various types of throws.

Just sayin'

Bryce had 2 throws over 10 yards the entire game.  The entire game.  Both were on 4th and short.

Bryce‘s career says he can’t throw downfield in the NFL.  Anomaly throws will exist for any QB trotted out week after week, year after year.  Bryce needs man coverage to have a shot at plays.  He can’t make plays downfield in to zone.  Thats not even a debate at this stage

you once again are taking something the Panthers did…..and trying to hang it on the QB’s neck.

The first rico td was a screen

Its odd that most of the Bryce "haters" will give hin credit for the good plays but the stans can only see the good plays. They ignore that we need three turnovers and have to keep Bryce under 20 attempts to beat a top team.Thats the formula to win with Bryce. Run the ball, hope you can force turnover, and hope he can hit a throw here and there. That's just life with Bryce at QB.

It's because the "Stans" are box score merchants.

They see 15/20 for 206 yards and 3 TDs with no INTs and think he just played a near perfect game and should be signed to a $200 million extension because of it.

Never mind that he had 3 passes that accounted for 111 of those yards and all the TDs, one of them a screen pass that went for 35 yards and the other two just touched lofted passes (albeit good ones, but nowhere near darts into tight windows like elite QB's are able to make).

Yes, he gets credit for the good throws, but extrapolating a small handful of good throws/plays a game to say he's played great games/seasons is the asinine part and what is going to end up screwing us over long term when he's kept around because of the blinders these wins are putting on people

he played a good game but yeah the other aspects of the team have to be damn near perfect even when he has a good game.  I see it, you see it and the front office hopefully sees it

Bro what Bryce Stan could possibly be a box score merchant his box scores are normally awful. You know that pass to your boy McMillan was a dot. As was the pass to Coker. Don’t be hatin

    • There's a flip side to that, if he has 2 or 3 more great games and we make the playoffs, there's going to a tsunami of momentum to extend him going into next year. If he remains inconsistent, we will all be arguing all off season long. I think he's done enough to where he's going to at the very least, be the starter in 2026. Nothing is going to change that with 7 wins on the board at this point, even if we flame out and lose the remainder of them. We haven't won 7 games  If we win 8 games, that would be our highest win total since the 2017 season. That's very significant.
    • GWD is the critical stat for an NFL QB. What you need for perspective is GWD %.  This is how many opportunities he converts. 2023 was 12.5%. 2024 was 33.3%. 2025 is 50%. Career is 28.9%. A consistent playoff winning QB is in the 30% range. A championship caliber QB is in the 40% range. He has been tracking well even with his major limitations under the development of Canales. This is the only reason he is holding on, but he is at the same level of a Derek Carr with the Raiders. Carr was 32.4% GWD in his first 3 seasons with 12 GWD in 37 opportunities. This gives you perspective on why he is frustrating to evaluate. Carr did what for the Raiders? 2 winning seasons in 9 seasons with 4 different HCs/OCs. This is what we want as Panthers fans? A decade of average with potential and many moments of hope? At least he'll win a QB skill competition like Carr, right?
