Predict The Remaining Schedule

San Francisco is currently the last wild card with a 9-4 record and they own the tie breaker over us meaning we need a better record in the end. We probably don't make the playoffs without winning the division.

Yeah, it's been clear for a few weeks now that a wildcard team coming out of the NFCS is highly unlikely.

If they play Panthers football they can beat anybody, as we saw yesterday. The bye could not of come at a better time. Perfect time to get healthy.

This team beat the Rams to death yesterday. The Rams. They barely touched the ball in the 3rd quarter.  Nothing that I would call flukey. They made Stafford have a bad day.

Healthy Chuba, Rico and o line will make for bad days for opponents.

As long as Dave can finally acknowledge that Bryce is a game manager, we have a chance.

Its like every other game we get one of the two Bryces. So maybe bad Bryce shows up bye week and good Bryce shows up against the Saints. But Bryce last year played his best football at the end of the season. Lets see if he can do it again

I know what is inconsistent, the boards weekly takes on both Bryce Young and Dave Canales.

but you can give me that, I'm like the reliable old lighthouse in the storm.

We wont win a wildcard because it would take running the slate basically (including the tie breaker over the hawks) and that would win the division and tampa doesnt have the tie breakers we would have vs rams and potentially hawks so yeah not happening like 1% chance.

Panthers have to beat Tampa twice and win one of the two other remaining games. Unless Tampa drops a random game there's no other way to make the playoffs, and Tampa's schedule is cupcake.

Its plausible they could drop one to Atlanta, but its asking a lot.  Sweeping the Bucs will be enough of an ask for us.

Panther football in 2025.....is basically the Panthers needing things that are often completely outside the norm/expectations to happen.  I still contend, this is the most illogical season I have watched.  Which makes it very entertaining (which is all I ask).

They havent looked hot lately and even with the saints and falcons sucking winning 3 division games in a row is a tall task... there games vs atl are always close and they have us the week after.

10 wins doesn't get a wildcard spot this year. I think our only path to the playoffs realistically is the division. I really don't buy into the Bucs at all but division games are incredibly weird regardless of how good the teams are on paper. I think we beat Aints, split Bucs and lose to Seahawks and miss the playoffs a game behind Tampa. Hopefully I'm wrong and we sweep them and take the division.

That makes the most sense.  This bipolar team finally wins 10 games and misses the playoffs.  Would be the perfect ending to this weird ass season.

Yeah, we feel like a bad version of last year's Chiefs. We're winning a ton of close games catching a lot of breaks. That type of winning usually isn't sustainable. It would be fun if it wasn't for the nerve wracking concern of Tepper doing something stupid like signing Bryce long-term.

I still dont think its him. Regardless. He hasnt shown me enough overall to warrant a long term contract. I dont live in the now when it comes to him. His overall body of work is not worth it.

    • I would hardly call yesterdays defensive performance improved. Take away those turnovers and the Rams probably score 49 points. The defense gave up 246 yards in the first half alone. Their running backs averaged over 6 yards a carry over the game. They could not stop them. I do not know how you can claim it was their stellar perfomance that won the game. Young completes 75% of his passes, converts all 3 of his 4th down attempts and accounted for all 3 offensive TD's and you still claim he was the weak spot yesterday.  Your hate knows no bounds.
    • Lying? What is the above? Packers 2023 was basically the 4th quarter. And it was really good but it was basically maybe 1/3 of the game.  And you will recall he followed that up with two 0 point efforts to finish the year.  What happened in the 1st half of this years Cardinals game? Who won it?  Miami, he made three or four good passes after putti g us in a deep hole all by himself, and Rico and the OL crushed it to take control of that game.    Dallas this year he had crap numbers but played well for all 4 quarters which sort of stood alone. That isn’t what he usually does.  Yesterday, was really good. Absolutely. Answered probably my biggest criticism by throwing the ball downfield.  That LA defense was asleep. And I am grateful to them. That poo is on film now, Let’s see what adjustments get made because that was too easy. If it was your defense that gave it up you would be screaming how did you let that guy beat you over the top?
    • I know we have a few film study people in this group..  Last year was infuriating (with no players) this year you can start to 'see it' coming together.. and like Mr Scott said, Evero is likely here to stay. Can someone do a deep dive in the philosophy of this defense and how its supposed to work? .. the deeper the dive the better 🙂
