Everything is pointing up. Another good draft and FA signings, and we should be good to go. If Bryce doesn't regress and keeps improving, then we good.

@Mr. Scot See this post? That’s what I’m talking about. One more good draft and we’re a SB contender? Good to go means that. I’m optimistic that we can win the division, if we can beat NO but I am not optimistic that one more good draft (not one draft since 2018 is that good) gets us to a SB contender.

I expected 6 wins this season. I need to see the Panthers blow by that now that they exceeded it by 1.

I like how Canales has schemed around the weaknesses on offense in the passing game. I am impressed with the receivers, run blocking, running back combo and secondary communication in zone. Defense and QB need more consistency.

The improvement of the defensive play calling and critical 3rd down and 4Q passing when trailing is going to be what I am looking for going into the playoffs. If the Panthers can consistently regain the lead after trailing over the next 4 games, I can see them competing in the playoffs and worth a reevaluation of the last 2 seasons' weaknesses.

This is the prove it or lose it moment in their Panthers careers for Young and Evero. No excuses.

Lol. Sorry man, I was 100% right that you missed the point. I’m actually expecting us to win because I think we should beat NO and it seems like Tampa is in a huge rut and we’ll be at home. That’s why I bought tickets for the Tampa game.

Not wanting to praise our front office/HC and act like the team is built <> being optimistic about winning the division. This place has a tendency to laud GMs and/or coaches way too early and often act like they had an amazing draft. Remember how much you liked Fitterer? I do.

But how do you judge the effectiveness of team's braintrust if not by results?

Can you still say a team's management and leadership are bad when they're winning? Sure you can.

Good results will make people dubious of your argument, though...

Do you consider a season successful if you win the division with a losing record?

The record reflects you didn't do well yet somehow lucked into the playoffs. We're winning right now, but part of the reason we're talking playoffs is our division is really bad.

Personally, I judge the braintrust by growth. Have we seen improvement this year? Yes. I'll judge this braintrust as improved when I see 4 more in a row, rational decision making regarding our QB room, and multiple back to back winning seasons.

If we judge by single season effectiveness alone, Nippleshorts was the greatest GM we ever had.

Hmm, judging by results? Lol. We got 7 turnovers and a pick 6 lost by 11 and won by 3. We got swept by a team that’s 2-10 against everyone else. We got out coached and out played by a shitty team today.

My main point that you still missed is that this team is not 1 draft away and our coaches and GM staff have not done enough to be lauded to the point that they have built a contender. We aren’t close. Our best players weren’t there when we needed them.

There is one major coaching / braintrust decision that had a major effect on this game, but I doubt it's one you're thinking of...

One? Lol. I’ve never seen anyone so adept at making sure you aren’t perceived as incorrect. There was one defensive formation in the last seconds of the game that cost us. Our poo ass clock management in the two minute offense cost us a chance at a TD instead of a FG. 4 more points wins the game. We also went for it on 4th and 1 in the 4th quarter and didn’t get it. A 50 yard FG puts us up 10 to a team that has scored 7 points in 3 quarters.

I’m not even going to discuss the multitude of bad play calls throughout the game but those 3 coaching decisions all contributed to a loss instead of a relatively easy win. Again, I’m sure I’ll see a response but I’m not going to bother to read it because it’ll be some sort of bad explanation of how I’m thinking something else.

Yeah, if you think Ejiro Evero wasn't a huge part of today's loss, I can't help you 😄

lol. You said one mistake by coaching. I gave you 1 defensive coaching mistake and multiple Canales mistakes (offense and HC decisions) and you are trying to twist it and say I don’t blame Evero.

When I say coaches screwed up, I mean offense, defense, STs and HC decisions like time management. Who else am I blaming in my comment: There was one defensive formation in the last seconds of the game that cost us.

It’s OK to be wrong. You just twist the response into something that wasn’t even my prior argument.

These guys have done the work and have build the culture needed to succeed. Tillis from the Chiefs has been a great choice. Knows how to built a successful roster. Morgan has made some very good picks and FA signings. Canales is going to be a very HC in the long run.

Tepper has stepped back and let his guys cook. Excited to see what tomorrow brings for this team. Hats off to these guys and how they are building this franchise.

Keep pounding

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Dumb ass Canalas got pass happy just like the 49ers game. He blew it.

The team has a core group of guys now, a solid nucleus to build around. It’s time to find the guys that can take over a game. The type that can flip the field instantly or make the offense gameplan around them. (Luke, Smitty, Peppers) type. Ice cream is in the bowl, need the syrup and sprinkles

I said one mistake by the braintrust as a whole.

You still haven't picked up on what that mistake is.
