Today's Gameplan - Final Straw & Huge Indictment on Canales & Young

[Bear Hands]

Today presented us with the following scenario:

• We win, we can win the division (Miami just clinched victory)
• We lose, it means NOTHING.  Just retry next week.

This was an all-in type scenario.  Give them the best you've got.  We're at home.  Be aggressive against a shaky Darnold under pressure.  Push the ball downfield.  Get vertical.  Get creative.  Show us everything you've got.  This is for the playoffs.

AND THIS IS WHAT WE GOT.  THIS IS WHAT THEY CHOSE TO DO.

Dink and dunk spectacular with Bryce getting us nowhere.  One of his worst performances and absolutely dogsh*t pathetic coaching.  

Canales has finally been put in my doghouse along with Bryce, Chuba and Horn.  

This was embarrassing all-around.  Terrible football. 

Defense played well, OL did good enough.  Awful gameplan, terrible QB-limiting play, terrible mistakes from undisciplined players.      

Awful.  Eye-gouging painful.

With how this season is going, we're gonna squeak by next week and get absolutely embarrassed in the playoffs.  Extend Young, go into mediocre purgatory for the foreseeable future.

Canales knows Bryce can’t consistently throw deep so his play calling is limited at best. He has to run a dink n dunk offense with this weak armed low rent QB.

I get the feeling Canales or Bryce knows when Bryce can't stretch the field and either calls or audibles are a result of that.

This game just sucked. Despite the fact that Jaycee had an unbelievably dumb penalty, it's easy to believe we weren't going to do a damned thing anyway. Such a horrible, uninspiring display of offensive football.

I hope all the talk we have been hearing of giving him his 5th is not true and the actually evaluate him next offseason. Not just go into next season assuming he is the starter, which he should not be. Him being on the offense actively makes it worse.

Any future scenario that involves picking up Bryce’s option or giving him an extension is only going to end in misery.

There are various factors with this team that need to be addressed. But first and foremost you need a QB and we do not have that guy.

Unfortunately I expect our FO with their marching orders from the Tepper's to continue doubling tripling and quadrupling down.

Bryce would wait like, a second, before throwing the ball. He never waits for the play to develop before he checks down. He has been doing this all season and the previous seasons.

I hope it is like Shanahan with the Niners. Even when the made the SB they kept looking because they knew Jimmy G was not the future. I hope the team is smart enough to realize Bryce is not the future.

Our “offensive coach” has shown anything but the ability to lead a top performing offensive unit. You hit it on the head, We have zero creativity. The only thing we are decent at is the 5 yard dink pass.

No coach is leading a top offense with Bryce Young at QB pending your offensive roster isn’t slam full of Pro Bowlers
