Most teams OLs are dealing with injuries at the end of the season. So by that token all QB play should be horrific across the board, but it's not.  Using the OL as an excuse anytime a QB plays bad is just lazy.  This is the same OL when Bryce had his good games not so long ago.  So do they suck just when Bryce does bad? Obviously they played well enough when y'all were doing your victory laps and saying 'you told us Bryce was the man' in the victories.

It goes back to my stance with Bryce all along...he's a low end starting QB.  He'd be a great backup. Bryce is going to have a few really nice games a season at this point in his career, with a few WTF games mixed in, but very middling overall.

The problem is, I just think Bryce is too short to see the field. He can't see the passing lanes because he can't see over the line, and that's why he bails the pocket so quickly on a comparative basis.

Also Bryce ran into a sack on that 2nd down, which was the first of his back to back sacks.  2nd one he didn't step into the pocket.  You know.  Before he threw that ball to the line of scrimmage on 4th and 17?  Yeah there's no excuse.

Detroit had 6 turnovers. Addison a 65 yard rushing TD. Detroit scored 10 points. 

Some of you really struggle with big picture thinking ability when it comes to this stuff.

Was it an incredibly dumb penalty, of course it was. The defense played their asses off though and got zero help from the offense. If you force them to punt at that point instead of the penalty do you really think the offense does anything differently?

We’ll never know for sure, but I’m reasonably certain just based on common sense that our offense functions completely differently with all the momentum and energy of the home crowd with 10 minutes left down one score, than they do with no momentum and a deflated crowd with only 5 minutes left and down 2 scores. The energy shift in the stadium and on the field after Horn’s penalty was beyond noticeable.

Both of Bryce's sacks came within the final 5 minutes when the run game was clearly out the window.  The defense pinned their ears back, which defenses tend to do in obvious pass situations, especially at the end of the game.  So for 55 minutes Bryce was kept clean, but this is on the OL?  Could he have had more time? Sure. Good QBs can overcome a relentless pass rush.  So which is it? Is Bryce good enough to overcome constant pressure by a top-tier defense or does he need ample time...all the time, to be efficient?
