We need a slot guy.  I'm not giving up on Horn, but I don't want to put all our eggs in that basket hoping he's turns out to be the man.

I think we just need an all-around WR. Both T-Mac and Coker are effective in the slot. If we get another receiver that's effective on the outside and in the slot, we'll be all the better for it.

The only point of trading for Coleman seems to be to get rid of XL. Unless you really like Coleman. Who really likes Coleman?

We are likely better off hoping they can make Legette into something that can at least contribute, and bring in more competition for that group from the outside. That approach has a better chance of getting some kind of return. IMO

The real benefit of trading XL is the addition by subtraction.  You lose that benefit if you get Keon Coleman back the other way.

If you want to go with addition by subtraction, you are saying that no one should trade For him. More or less.
Release him if it is that bad. I don’t think it is yet though. He should get a last chance to respond by committing himself in the offseason and coming into practices and camp and producing. At or near what is expected from a mid second rounder. Or third.

It is kind of like Bryce, he will not ever live up to the cost of his acquisition.

To me the mistake is a blip compared to the magnitude of the Bryce mistake and I can’t be but so upset over it.  I am like, oh well it happens to every team.

That's the Panther way. Maybe he will be better next year!

How about we just dump XL in whatever way we can and avoid Keon Coleman? What is the point of taking one of the dumbest and least capable WR's in the NFL and replacing him with a guy that wants to play in the NFL about as much as XL?

Maybe shoot higher than Keon Coleman for an XL replacement.

That is a big HELL NO. As bad as XL was this season, at least he adds a dimension that the coaches can use for specific plays. Coleman is just as bad, yet adds zero diversity to our receiving corps. I’ll take the guy that at least cares enough to show up to meetings. Getting traded to a new team won’t change either of their work ethics.

At this point, the Bills would have to throw in a pick to wash their hands of Coleman.

Coleman and a 3rd for XL? Sure. I don't want Coleman, cut him if you want, but pay us the tax of a decent pick and we can talk.

They would probably want a 1st to take XL, in fairness. I would.
