Sub Bryce in for Caleb on that play and there's a 100% chance the Bears lose that game. If you can't acknowledge that you're complete denial.

Holy poo... another unreal throw from Stafford

You may be right on THAT throw.

But you're taking one throw across 1000 throws from each of them, and making that the basis for a season long success.  That isn't how football analysis works.

If that's how it worked, I would tell you that Stidham threw a deep ball today that was perfect, and therefore he must be Peyton Manning.

Stop living in a fuging vacuum.  I've seen your posts, you're a smart football fan, but don't let your hatred for Bryce (which I understand, and possibly share) lead you to be blind to the fact that our coaching staff is laughably bad and has no idea how to lead Bryce to success.

If Ben Johnson was our coach, Bryce is significantly better, that is not debatable.

He was a bad QB lol.  He's just not anymore.

the coaching was absolute dogshit. His first 4 games were great, then went downhill from there. Better coaching wouldve helped. Tepper hiring Rhule was dumb af. All of his failures are about to be exposed to a wider audience.

There's a massive gap between the ability of the two. That's the point. I didn't think that required explanation, but I guess it did.

You know what Ben Johnson would be doing if Bryce was his QB? Looking for a QB.

He needed to learn from a good organization.  He always had the tools.

Remember when we all thought Sam was a bad QB?

Sam had all the physical tools in the world, it was all mental with him. Going to QB whisperers Shanahan and McConnell back to back did wonders for his mental and understanding of the game

    • That’s if you draft the wrong quarterback. Patriots aren’t having to do that. They are straight in year two.  I suppose you could argue that they did draft the wrong one and then built like you said.  The difference is, if that were the case, they moved on from their mistake. That’s what I am thinking about that.
    • Yeah. That start to his career was about as bad as it can get. In New York, Meat grinder press corps, of the first degree,    When he came here he was on OC 3 - in year 3.  And people in this fan base that think they are smart, could not take that stuff into account.  Now, most of the smart ones are not Bryce Stans but Bryce gets 4 damned years free pass. At least 3  The fail of the organization AND fan base in general, fuging shamefully short sighted,  And the choking thing, players have to fail before they succeed. With very few exceptions. Last year was really his first meaningful, high stakes game. Okay, he didn’t play well. They learn from that, or are supposed to. You don’t throw out a guy with all those tools and with his rocky did him no favors background for not being perfect right away.  He might suck in the SB, but he proved a ton this year.    If we’d have had any patience he was the guy to use it on, not Bryce Young.
    • Darnolds OC when he was drafted was Jeremy Bates who was fired. He hasn’t had an nfl job since then. his next head coach was Adam gates who was fired after two years and isn’t in the league anymore. then he gets traded to the Matt Rhule panthers. His first OC was a hired WAY too early Joe Brady who was fired midseason and basically had to restart his career as a get back coach in Buffalo. then it was Jeff Nixon, who’s currently the head coach for Syracuse. the next season was the best he’d ever looked, and it was the first time he had an actual nfl offensive coordinator calling plays for him. The less said about Matt Rhule the better. then he sits a year and ends up in Minnesota and the rest is history. maybe he just had poo awful coaches for the start of his career. Maybe we should be trying to find someone who flamed out on the jets. one who’s a religious weirdo  and likes to bang married women  that’s right baby, Zach Wilson redemption tour starts now
