I can imgine. That last game before the break with the Canes was as gutless as I've ever seen from the Rags. Of course, the guys were still feeling the nut-punch they took after Drury traded Panarin for peanuts the day before?

Funny you say that because for once I actually think team USA is just as stacked more firepower than any past US Olympics team by far, two of the top 3 Norris candidates, Thr best defensive D man....

 

Honestly they should he starting Swayman IMO though hes much better than Halleybuck this yeat.

The officials have apparently been given the directive to make sure the gold medal match is US v Canada.

Slavin trips Ehlers, who slides into net, knocking it off the posts and Ehlers gets called.

Brady Kfug is a penalty machine. He's getting away with cross checks and head shots at will.

Swayman gives up a goal from the red line. Yes, the red line.

At least Slavin didn’t hurt Ehlers haha.  That would be our luck with injuries this year. But the goal from center ice was cheeks.

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
